Just like the previous entry, the art, sound design and pacing were very well-done! The tension was real all the time and I personally really like the direction the plot is currently going. On the downside, Cage-Face's AI and teleporation behavior could use some work, as it feels a bit unfair at times and the grammar/writing style could use just a tad more sophistication. Other than that, the price is definitely justified. Looking forward to the next series entry!
Length: First playthrough <40min An action horror game which sees the player attempting to escape through the sewers, while being hunted by Cage-Face, a monster that is relentless and can appear at any time to kill you. Through Cage-Face 2 you will be playing on one large sewer map, in which you need to find lockers and their passcodes so you can escape. While the map may feel small, you will be permanently kept on your toes and the moment you hear the song of the Canary, RUN! Your gun can only slow down Cage-Face, and he can appear from anywhere. Keeping track of Cage-Face at first will help you survive but he can appear in front of you. Make sure to aim for the cage, it will be tough while he is hunting you. Think you’re being smart by hopping down a ladder to escape him as he’s incapable of climbing? Well guess again, remember he teleports through the walls, and he didn’t lose sight of you on that ladder! The game kind of reminds of the ‘Horror Tales: The Wine’ in those moments you are being hunted, where the panic sets in and you need to quickly get away. While the locker combos are easy to work out, finding the questions will take you looking throughout the sewers. The game also does a good job in that backstory for the Cage-Face though this is through text and you will unlock more of the detective's files once you complete the game. This is a lot of reading so it may not be for everyone. Overall I enjoyed playing Cage-Face 2, it is a short game which keeps you on edge and really does an amazing job to unnerve you when you hear the Canary. The information and backstory of Cage-Face was fun to read, and it was a challenge unlocking the safe. If the game sounds like it’s for you make sure to check out Cage-Face Case 1, the games are similar with Case 2 being a bit longer. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1287640/CAGEFACE__Case_1_The_Mine/ If you want to see gameplay of Cage-Face Case 2 then my video is below, it can also help you unlock the safe if you are stuck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44rMPIjIDSI Looking for horror games to play, check out my curator page I may have discovered a horror game you’ve missed: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41770172/
OK sewer game. The map is a bit confusing. Looking for signs for directional, plus a couple of playthroughs fixes this. But I'm not a big fan of enemy teleport to your position for reason... Badly. Never figured out what the safe code was (strange note). Child, Deep and Hole were the words capitalized. HOLE D4 was all I got.
This was another improved iteration of the game after the free Case One game. It expanded on the story a bit, added in a mechanic of shooting the monster to be delayed/stunned, changed up the environment and added more of an item-hunt mechanic to make the player explore. It did get a little frustrating at times, because I almost ran out of ammo and soft-locked my game by being near death, and the monster does constant low damage while chasing you; but that's more my fault for being terrible at the game. I would say I'm not sure $5 is a price that's right for a 1-1.5 hour long game but that's personal taste; my rule is about $1/hr of gameplay, so a $5 price tag for a hour long game is only justified by an incredibly unique mechanic or some top-tier writing. It had some more good writing, more lore; the game does a nice job of tying the overarching plot between the games together, and I'm very much left wanting a third installment. Check out the video below for my thoughts in detail! https://youtu.be/9QSOnmEEAQ8

Mal optimizado. Controles toscos.
