Airtone is an excellent rythm game with predefined song mappings. In addition to the main gameplay being highly polished, it also features great production quality, solid tech (including great image quality), and extremely aesthetically pleasing design both during the songs and throughout the menu/hub. There is a great variety of unique 3D environments for the songs. Looking at the achievements versus what I've completed so far in a bit more than 2 hours of gameplay it's quite packed with content too, well worth the purchase at its current price. If I had to criticize anything, the english VA's delivery is slightly clumsy at times - but it's still charming.
Glorified Samba de Amigo rhythm game (no punches here, Vive wands are like maracas) with finally a first class arcade/console quality standard and budget. Things you should know about Airtone: 1) set japanese speech with subtitles in options, so much better! 2) 25 tracks with three different levels each, lot of stuff; 3) challenging, not for those easy to be frustrated; 4) when an item in the room has a rainbow ring, click it for new story details; 5) the main avatar is lovely, high quality cel shading and animation (more details here: http://airtone-vr.com/core_sys/images/contents/00000004/base/l1.jpg ); 6) nothing similiar to Audioshield or Soundboxing.
0.0.0.0 datarouter.ol.epicgames.com datarouter-weighted.ol.epicgames.com 保存したhostsファイルを元の場所に戻す。
One of the most polished VR rhythm titles to date. If you're at all a fan of the rhythm music genre, this is a must buy; a true next-gen fulfills the potential of VR (for the genre) completely sort of game, it'll get your body moving around to its frenetic pace (at medium difficulty and harder) and still leave you wanting more even as you wheeze for more breath! The music is great, the presentation is great, the beat maps are great, there's a nice chilled out hub where you get rewarded with toys as you unlock more of the game and perform well. It even has a cute/thoughtful girl mascot in the hub to liven the place up a little (and make it feel less sterile). SSS rank!
Airtone is one of the best music games in VR (and arguably a better game at this time than Beat Saber). The game is incredibly well polished and even has a small story to go with it. Not only does it have 30 songs with 3 difficulties, but the beat maps are really fun to play. The first video that shows someone playing the game may make it look boring, but the gameplay is a lot funner than it looks; the beat maps almost make you feel as if you are dancing (albeit standing in place). The game also has a lot of replayability as you can unlock a variety of furniture for the hub and because it will take a while to master all of the songs. My biggest con with the game is that English VA for Neon (the companion in the game) is pretty bad, but if you switch it to Japanese, Neon sounds good. Overall, I highly recommend Airtone to anyone looking for a VR music game.
This is the perfect VR rhythm game. It seems unbelievable to me that this gem of a game seems to have been largely overlooked by both rhythm gaming and VR gaming communities. This game has already perfected VR rhythm gameplay and I don't think any other game has come close. The mechanics make great use of your full arm span, combining individual notes into big movements that feel amazing to execute. It has a high difficulty ceiling, ensuring you have many goals to work up towards, while the level design still ensures a good time. Even then, it doesn't forget its rhythm game roots, and has notes that require button inputs to mix up gameplay. Unlike certain other VR rhythm games, scoring on all notes is directly tied to timing accuracy only, so you can be assured that getting better at timing and executing movements will actually result in score improvements. And yet, what really makes this game is all the personality it has. It's vibrant and colorful, with incredible environments that just feel uplifting to be in. The little hub world is a great space to chill in and wind down if you're feeling tired and need a break from the workout that the game gives you, with lots of toys to play with. The story is there for those who want it and provides good flavor, but can also be ignored for those who just want to get to the gameplay. The mascot character is cute!! She's cute!!! The way she extends her hand out for a clap at the beginning is such a great touch. It's just such a happy and good-feeling game to play, and it isn't preoccupied with needing to seem edgy or cool like other VR rhythm games seem to need to do. Airtone really is the best of traditional hardcore rhythm gameplay combined with the best of VR tracked motion controller gameplay. No fuss around justifying the game with lightsabers, guns or punches. You're just going to touch circles and squares travelling down a line to you, and you're going to have the best time of your life doing it.
A bit boring for me as I don't like the music, just not my cup of tea. The tutorials were forcefully slow and frustrating also
The VR lady is annoying as fudge: She doesn't speak well 'at all', she speaks slowly and she drones and drones and drones and need an option to remove this horrific mistake of a computer generated character. Rather read a virtual slab on what beats do + a training area, you don't need 2 hands in the beginning anyways. She makes some reference to saving the worlds, but you don't really get much of a back story, it's all very out of place and nonsensical. You're forced to endure a long tutorial, with lots of pauses and thumb twiddling periods of silence, along with the awful droning of the tutorial avatar. Compared to other rhythm VR games, this ones probably more suited for more movement restricted players...? The 'working area' is small, I didn't find myself stretching out as much as I do on other games even on the trigger-holds, certainly not as challenging. The songs are a bit 'meh', there's 1 or 2 I liked, but the rest aren't that engaging or appealing. Got this on sale, I certainly wouldn't pay £22 for it. Note: Do not pay attention to "played hours", this is no where near accurate.
