TL;DR
9/10 — easy 9, edging toward 10. A story-rich adult college dating sim that fully sucks you in — immersion is everything, and it nails it. Recommended for anyone who wants a narrative-driven VN with a huge cast, sharp writing, enough branching to justify several playthroughs, and adult content that turns up the heat. Note: this review covers Season 1 only (Episodes 1–4).
Story & Immersion
For me a VN is only as good as how much it pulls you in, and Being a ♥♥♥ hooks hard. Before you know it, you stop trying to pick the best options and just feel like you are the MC, which is exactly why the absurd college shenanigans land as natural fun rather than cringe. The story is genuinely good — meaningful arcs, real growth from nervous newcomer to frat life, and twists that hit me harder than I expected. The dialogue is crisp, dramatic to match the setting, and actually funny — had me cracking up alone at the screen.
Characters
The 30+ cast is where it really shines. Minor characters keep returning in bigger roles, which sells the college-life feel instead of cycling the same five faces. And they're not just plentiful — each one has a unique, great-looking design that's easy to tell apart. They got real personalities and tight writing behind them, which is why the most of the cast lands. From jerks to goody two-shoes, broke students to ultra-rich heirs — more than enough variety to sell its college setting. You choose which relationships to start, keep casual, or refuse — but the girls have their own taste, and they'll turn you down if your demeanour rubs them the wrong way, or simply keep their distance if they're not looking for something serious. Major choices lock or open entire paths, minor dialogue picks shape how characters warm up to you, and the relationships you build early pay off, visibly shaping future interactions — this season and beyond. In other words, genuine player agency that keeps you invested and highly immersed. However, by season's end the relationships pile up and threaten to get out of hand — so much that even the MC turns self-aware about how absurd it all is. Now for some personal takes:
Derek really pulls his weight as a team player, and Quinn, introduced as an antagonist, quietly became the most interesting character by my third run. Josy, on the other hand, just never trully clicked for me — not bad, just not that appealing. Isabella was the standout, great the whole way through; Sage and Maya worked for me too. Shame Jill was so underused this season.

Adult Content
Most scenes are well done, nicely animated and pretty hot — built up through your choices, not just sprinkled in. They kept surprising me too: different paths hide different encounters, and replays reveal new scenes — or cranked-up twists on earlier ones — as early as episode one. Content-wise it's generally vanilla with a few kinks mixed in, but that fits the protagonist's inexperience, sitting naturally in the story rather than losing steam. Don't come expecting anything extreme — or too unrealistic, save for safe sex being all but ignored and everyone's backstage area staying implausibly squeaky-clean. Excluding the damned fighting minigame that forced me to use the keyboard, you can play the game one-handed — a free hand is indeed welcome once certain scenes roll around. Still, you'll spend far more time reading and laughing than anything else, and that's a good thing.
Minigames, Messaging & Social Media
Between dialogue, free roam, and minigames, the core loop stays enjoyable throughout. Recurring phone games and exam challenges, with one-off minigames breaking up the rhythm. Optional minigames can be played while free roaming — winning earns money, and money buys you extra dialogue options down the line. A nice touch that loops the optional stuff back into the story — and with the main characters and themes featured in them, you never lose sight of the bigger picture. Story minigames, meanwhile, come with help to take the load off. Exams stay manageable with studying and cheat sheets picked up during free roam, and they're skippable entirely from the start menu. Minigames fit the narrative well, though exams can stall the story for a few minutes. Hitting 100% without assists is hard — took my dumbass a few retries. The coffer code puzzle stands out as the worst — no story connection and annoying to figure out, so I just looked up the answers. Messaging and social media are a welcome addition. Both are scripted, with some choices just for flavor and others that slightly affect character approval. They track character arcs and are quite funny. The social feed comments were great to read through and one of the highlights of each free roam section. Not that deep, but they do their job well: keeping you immersed in the world. The drunk section impressed me — misleading you with clever touches like texting the wrong person or turning your sensible replies into gibberish.
Art, Music & Sound
Strong art direction throughout: gorgeous renders and animations across a wide variety of locations, outfits and great-looking characters, impressively unified and consistent. The soundtrack slaps — fairly good music that also fits the game like a glove, carrying the intense moments and smoothing every transition. There's no voice acting, but I didn't miss it.
Nitpicks & Pet Peeves
My biggest gripe is the confusing personality and relationship systems. Status, affinity, and per-character approval all impact scenes, but the latter is tracked invisibly with no in-game representation. Seeing everything basically means playing with a guide open beside you. "Compliment them" dialogue choices won't tell you what your douchebag MC actually says, so a rude-status compliment can backfire and you have to quick-load or backtrack. Affinity behaves like a global good/evil meter instead of per-character opinion — you can be kind to one girl and still get rejected over unrelated choices she shouldn't even be aware of. Some scenes unlock only if you're a huge jerk, even toward someone you were always nice to, which breaks story logic. So if you want to play like a manipulative dirtbag who is really nice to certain people while being rude as hell to everyone else, you are not gonna have a great time. Eventually you will be slotted in either being a jackass, a fence-sitter or a doormat. Free-roam navigation fights you: clicking to leave a room sometimes just spins the character around. Add extremely hidden collectibles, like one interactable book in a pile of a hundred, and completion turns into pixel-hunting and guide-checking. The official guide being paid DLC is a letdown, since using one is essential to fully complete the game.
Verdict
A Season 1 blind run takes about 18 hours, 26+ for everything — all backed up by a great story, tons of choices with high replayability, and amazing visuals for 12 bucks or less. Insane value, even at full price. I was immersed for hours on end. This is one of the best AVNs I have played, highly recommend it. Even if the college setting isn't your kink, give it a spin. I was skeptical too, but it completely won me over. Some nitpicks, like hidden approval systems and stat checks, knock it down to a 9/10, but I'm still incredibly looking forward to Season 2.
Lol, what a great game. Great, writing, visual and music and way too funny.
One of if not the best AVN of all time. PS Sage ftw
