About

beaterCore is an arcade racing game for those who prefer cheap rusty beaters over specialized sports cars. Buy, repair, restore, and tune your dream project car. Take part in racing events and work your way through the career mode.

Repair your car in first person mode. Purchase furniture and stockpile as many spare parts as you can - you're going to need them.

In beaterCore you'll have to make quick repairs in-between races. Everything can go wrong, and you must be prepared for it! Store items in your car's trunk, but be wise with what you bring with you - space is limited.

Play locally with up to four players on the same screen. Keyboard controls are fully supported!

If career mode is not enough - you can always compete against your friends in online races. You're still going to need your resource management skills - multiplayer races affect your cars the same way as in career mode! Show off your pristine ride, or surprise your friends with track-specific tuning.

Experience tracks across different times of year. Prepare your car for icy winter conditions or enjoy the warm, vibrant colors of autumn.

Oh yeah, they snapped with this one. I'm only 2 hours in, but I feel like I'm playing a future classic.
The game has really clunky and dysfunctional controls on gamepad. The presentation and tutorials are not good. The interface could use a lot of work. If you can get past that, it looks like there's some good mechanics under the hood, but it's just a little to unpolished to be worth it.
One of the best racing games I've played in the last 20 years.

Very similar to those old classic xbox racing games with the need to fix up your car between every race. Maybe tedious to some, but I think its another layer of fun
Amazing little game, clearly a passion project. Great gameplay with lots of variety in terms of tracks and cars, and a great soundtrack.
🔍Quick Read : 7/10. This game is a fun retro style driver, with intricate management mechanics when it comes to your car, fun racing to keep you entertained and cool beater cars to drive. It’s just plain fun. ✅ No generative AI was used in game. Beatercore almost feels like a few different genres put together, when I first left my car and was able to walk back during the race I genuinely was taken aback because I’ve never thought of that in a racing game, and until now I genuinely don’t think it would’ve worked! The random car parts flying off while you’re trying to hit corners always made me laugh and everyone shaking their head constantly, is just a constant reminder of how one turn could completely destroy your sh–ty car and entire race. This game is just a good time in a small lil race game. The only problem I genuinely had was having to hit the enter for every dialogue option. 😭💀that was ANNOYING. Other than that the UI in the hub is kinda buns but hey, who am I to judge a beatercore UI. 📖The Story : We start off knowing of debts we must pay, with said debts being the reason we’re thrown out of a car and forced to find civilization again. We learn from our friend, Boris, we can make money doing races, and from there, it’s about the majority of the game. 🚗Driving : The driving is clunky, but in a good way. Sometimes turns feel like hell and yet that’s exactly how it should be when your car can barely make it to the grocery store and back comfortably. 💰YOU SHOULD BUY IF…: 🏎️ You Enjoy Retro-Style Games 🏁 You Enjoy a Good Driving Sim(ish)

For an arcade driver with some kinks and quirks here and there, its getting pretty good! I like the driving and the "accidents" that can happen along the way. Driving does feel quite smooth. The map Editor is a bit confusing and hard to work with, hopefully that will be worked on in the near future. There are some tweaks to be made here and there, but its already a quite fun "go-to" when you just want to drive without too much hassle.
was so excited for this game i bought it the day it came out. it is a joy thus far
