Im sorry, I really try to give most VR games the benefit of the doubt, but Silent North From Combat Waffle is complete garbage in its current state. Zombies are super clunky to kill melee, which you spawn with either a knife or a screwdriver, forget about aiming your melee hits for the head, that doesnt work. forget about smooth grip interaction or holsters... This game quite simply without droning on and on, Was not and will not be reasonable to be released in any aspect "Early Access" or not, EA is not an excuse to throw a barely playable dumpster fire into the street and call it okay.
They abandoned it immediately
Lots of bugs on launch, seems to have gotten no better. Abandonware.
As someone who went into this knowing what can be expected from a new released alpha of CWS this is beyond disapointing Even for a EA title, I could not find anything enjoyable, couldn‘t find any loot after 30 mins of playing except a can of coke. i have no clue how ambitious they want to be with this game but I don‘t see why anyone would pay and play the game in this state. makes no sense since when the melee combat with zombies isn‘t even any fun. I can tolerate a ton of bugs in an EA game, but this game offers nothing, they should maybe adjust the spawns or idk why I had to wonder 30 mins in the mountains just to find a barn which had 3 loot spots which were looted lol. besides that, in a lobby which is 80 % full, I didn’t see a sign of any players in 40 mins playtime.
at its current state i cant recommend this game.
This game is not ready for early access. I put 12 hours into this game and I feel like I've completed it already. Pros: (This is a struggle to think of anything positive) 1. Sky box looks nice 2. landscape is fairly well done and the map is an okay size 3. Player interactions COULD get interesting but I've not met many. I had one half decent gun fight. Cons: 1. Not enough loot 2. Games crashes often 3. Picking up guns is the worst I've experienced. It's fiddly and just damn frustrating. 4. Food and drink didn't deplete when I played 5. Day and night cycle are too short 6. Game mechanics as a whole are really Janky 7. Couldn't even get the main menu/ Map to show 8. It just doesn't really feel like much of a survival game, you cannot make fires, you cannot craft anything. You can only change you hat or main outfit, no different bags, no gloves, no scarves. 9. The worst zombies in any game I've ever played 10. Riddled with bugs I wouldn't recommend getting this game until it's at full release state but by then I suspect it might be DOA. Shame because VR needs a decent Dayz style game... this just isn't it.
Abandoned game, very bare bones
This has to be the dullest VR game out there. I have played this game for over an hour & have spent that time dodging Zombies with a single knife as my only weapon. Not through lack of trying to loot them, there in lies the 2nd problem I don't know if the worlds are procedurally generated or what but there are hardly any buildings to look through in the game & the ones that there are have TONS of Ammo, but no Firearms or better Melee Weapons & then there's the hitbox situation I thought the hitboxes on 7DTD were bad but damn this game puts it to shame & not in a good way. I can't recommend this game, it does have the bones of a decent game but those bones are so bare its tempting to request a refund.
game has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics, it is very baren, way too dark during day, lags a lot, just too little loot in houses, and overall boring due to all of that, might change my review if it gets more content and updates, but for now, its crap, shouldn't have released into early access so quick.
The game is dead, the devs are scammers.
