About

beaterCore is an arcade racing game for those who prefer cheap rusty beaters over specialized sports cars. Buy, repair, restore, and tune your dream project car. Take part in racing events and work your way through the career mode.

Repair your car in first person mode. Purchase furniture and stockpile as many spare parts as you can - you're going to need them.

In beaterCore you'll have to make quick repairs in-between races. Everything can go wrong, and you must be prepared for it! Store items in your car's trunk, but be wise with what you bring with you - space is limited.

Play locally with up to four players on the same screen. Keyboard controls are fully supported!

If career mode is not enough - you can always compete against your friends in online races. You're still going to need your resource management skills - multiplayer races affect your cars the same way as in career mode! Show off your pristine ride, or surprise your friends with track-specific tuning.

Experience tracks across different times of year. Prepare your car for icy winter conditions or enjoy the warm, vibrant colors of autumn.

BeaterCore in a true gem of a game in an industry lacking innovation and vision. The basic pitch is that it's an eastern european flavoured arcade racer with simple but meaningful vehicle management, an in-house map creation tool and steam workshop integration. All of this for under 300Mb disk space, under 15 dollars, and well over a stable 60 FPS all day long. While perhaps limited in its scope and complexity at this stage, with only so many cars, customisation options and event types, BeaterCore has the potential to grow exponentially in so many directions that one can only dream. This has been the best value that I have recieved for fifteen dollars in years.

Game is okay, wished that the physics were a bit better but my biggest issue is with the performance of the game. I dunno if it's just a me thing but my framerates would go so low during racing that involves 6 racers and I know that I got a good rig to run this game but overall I think this game could have potential.
Ive never had this much fun on a 15 dollar game since terarria i would highly reccomend this game is amazing
Very Nice for the Price! Love the ps1 graphics. There's lots of jank but it's a really good start to something great. It's got a little Destruction Derby, Gran Turismo and some Sega Rally vibes going for it. I play some of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guUMJEy9TRo
игра хорошая но я подожду пока она стрельнет и выйдут побольше обновлений
I really like the physics in this game, the cpu's are goofy to race against sometimes they do stupid stuff and like floor it through a corner and then i look behind to see them slam straight into a tree and I haven't played a fun idie racing in a long while.
I was waiting to write a review until i got my thoughts together on what changes I thought could considered but w the newest hotfix making easy difficulty a bit harder, leaving normal as it is and adding very easy combined w the reduced component wear changes everything was resolved :3

This game is an actual gem, but there's still some parts that need tweaking. The driving is really good and the cars feel like the barely working junk they are in a good way. Repairing and tuning your car makes a very big difference and I like the way you physically strip and replace parts. What I don't like is the relation between the rewards and repair costs. Parts degrade way too fast and I was eventually at a point where I was just making money to keep my starter car sort of running, while I was losing races, was missing money and couldn't do the necessary repairs to progress or upgrade. I do like however that you can get a sponsorcar that's helping you reearn money and sort of break that negative loop. This shouldn't be a necessity in a game about forming a sort of relationship with your car though. Lastly I think the AI could use some tweaking too. Two or three of them are very aggressive and it's just super frustrating when they divebomb you in the middle of a turn or push you off the track and you can't recover from that or it breaks your car. Quite a few times it's the moment where you'd need to restart the entire event and it's further amplified by them having heavier cars than the starter, so you can't really push back. Apart from that, I think the difficulty on normal is very fair. Just keep in mind that clean racing is basically impossible here. The game runs perfect on Linux. Didn't have any issues, very nice :>
