Welcome to Accapella! When Joey and Gina arrive in the musically starved town that outlawed groovy tunes, a chance encounter with the music hating tyrannical ruler of the town (and local butcher) sends them flying.

Some other reviewers call the controls slow and sluggish, but that's because your walk speed is slow & jump is floaty. It intentionally forces you to use the boost to move around (which means you have to be good at the rhythm system to recharge your boost meter). If the controls were more responsive and enemies were faster to match (the enemies are slow as well), you'd never have a chance to recharge your meters. You should be recharging every chance you get anyways so that you have your special ready for when you need it. I used a Xbox 360 controller and found the controls fine. Keyboard controls probably don't feel as good. I 3-Star'd normal levels until the cats and then realized that you can just get the 3 stars from the easy difficulty as well (no punishment) and finished the rest of the levels at 3-stars easy. I found it to be a game I could learn the mechanics and coast through to the end. There is a bit of variety for each stage in terms of scenario and objectives and there aren't so many stages that it felt repetitive. Probably not worth it at full price but I'd recommend on a sale or bundle.
https://youtu.be/8lgOzoLVtjs The evil butcher hates music and banishes two technically hip kids to a drug filled world where music is the weapon. Use your musical powers to protect peanuts, protect eggs, and protect a monkey driving a car. The majority of this game is spent waiting for things to happen, while you do a trivial rhythm game to power your abilities. The saddest part of this game is that the music is made up primarily of tiny loops around 10~15s which is a crime for a game that's supposed to be based around music.
This game should create a Super Turbo edition and it will do great. Bad as it is now, it is as slow as a snail. Disappointing. :(
The definition of boredom.
Cannot recommend this game. Nothing fun here for me.
I was fooled by the description BeatBlasters III. This game is not OK! I was hoping for some rhythm-platformer game, and the tutorial looked like it might deliver a solid and fun game, but the real levels are closed arena. You either shoot something coming from the left/right, or defend something (plus optional flying around to reach enemies). The only rhythm elements, as far as I know, are for recharging your stuff. That's for sure not my idea for combination of "rhythm game and action-platformer". There is a demo version on Steam so please, do yourself a favor and try it before buying.

Zero fun, cool music.
Not a very good game unfortunately. I feel like a good game could have been here but it didn't quite make it. Visually its interesting but I can't call it appealing or charming. The writing is pretty awful, with a nonsensical story that's barely there. The game play is very simple and mediocre, and doesn't do well as either a rhythm or action-platforming game. The worst let down is the extremely simple music. It is a game about music after all. The best I can say about it is the attempt to have the music change with your actions (music is quiet unless you're actively performing actions) but they didn't even do that very well.
