About

Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer survival game in which the player is a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. A player can take the role of flyers, swimmers, herbivores, carnivores, and semi-aquatic creatures that fulfill different niches in the ecosystem. No matter what the player chooses to be, the objective of the game is to survive and grow up on the islands of Bermuda by using their particular creature's abilities. Predation from other players as well as intense environmental events are the antagonistic forces in the game the player must survive against.
There are currently three game modes in Beasts of Bermuda.

In Free Roam game mode the player selects a creature of choice and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. They must survive and gradually grow larger over time. As growth accumulates, they also earn talents, which can be spent to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. In this mode growth is slower but resource management is easier.
In Life Cycle game mode the player selects a creature and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. You must survive and grow larger in a fast paced growth setting. As growth accumulates, you will earn talents to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. After 1.32 growth you can choose to enter a stage called Gauntlet, where the difficulty of the game increases with growth in the form of food, water, and ailment management. In this mode growth is faster but resource management is harder. Compete on a monthly leaderboard to earn the top growth ranking for your species!
In Combat game mode players are pitted against one another with mechanics that are designed to reward conflict. Servers can use Deathmatch Maps which are smaller with close together spawn locations. The player spawns in as an adult creature of their choice and can accrue more talent points by killing other players and stealing their points. The game mode is endless and uses points and kill/death ratios to show who reigns supreme on the server.

This game doesn’t just ship with bugs, it is a bug delivery system that occasionally interrupts itself with gameplay. What truly elevates this mess from broken to embarrassing, however, is the developer’s behavior. Rather than acknowledge the avalanche of legitimate complaints, they’ve taken to social media to throw tantrums, blame players for pointing out the obvious, and declare any criticism to be a personal attack. Watching a grown developer melt down because people expect a functional product would be funny if it weren’t attached to a price tag. A buggy game can be fixed. A developer who treats their audience like enemies is a much harder patch. Save your money, save your time, and spare yourself the spectacle of paying to be scolded for expecting software to work. Sucks, but thats my answer.
Great concept, unfortunately the reality is that you will lose your progress from a cheater. in the 40 hours i put in this game - there wasnt a single session without a cheater. ESP, unlimited stam, and even a cheater that just killed the entire lobby. The only silver lining was that if you do die from a cheater, the mods will restore your progress - IF - you have proof.

First thing I gotta say is THIS DEV TEAM does not CARE about its players AT ALL. I literally can't recall the amount of times players have requested improvement/quality life updates and never received them even YEARs later...The kicker is that the community had asked for more dino slots for YEARS and they kept saying they couldn't do it or it would break the game....Guess what, in the last year or so, they added more...Another thing is the game is POORLY optimized. I literally have no clue what happened when they added the new mega map but LITERALLY half if not 95% of the player base could not PLAY ON THE MAP. Wanna know what the DEV TEAM SAID? Basically get good, go buy a new laptop or pc...I wish I was joking. I use to be a server owner, can't lie that the player base is toxic and the dev team doesn't do anything to help. I have been a witness of some very disturbing things and have received insider information on the Dev team. A rapist being among them is true. Them knowing about it is also true. They act like high schoolers running some kind of expensive organization, they play favorites. Staff get exclusive skins along with other skin types players have no access too or will ever. Some old players and staff have what you call glimmer skins. Some of these skins you cannot get yourself. It breaks my heart making this review, this game had SO MUCH going for it. I and many others have spent YEARS playing and supporting this game. In good faith I can't stay silent...The Dev team is very disturbing and everything they have said and continue to do, disgust me...Please think ethically and morally before getting this game.
the devs pught extreme high value on skins and make them near impossible to get without being nested by a skin owner and this led to harassment and a lot of the people stopped nesting the skins because of it and that just made the skins harder and more rare to get making the want for them sky rocket its just feeding a hate train. also many bugs are not getting fixed and there is a lot that can get your dino killed, and instead of fixing thease bugs they are pushing newer content and activly jumping to stop people getting skins faster then any bug fixs which shows the priority is first is formost skins the "status symobol" on the game. if you do buy and decide you want a pretty skin too, i will say good luck! but i cannot reccomend the game is it stands right now.
I would love to start this out with how much i love this game, and how big (or at least, how well regarded it could be for how well thought out and executed, the comparisons to other games in the genre, etc) this game could be, but there's always a "but" at the end of that sentiment. I still love, LOVE LOVE LOVE this game and have had it for many years, and even before i got the game i had watched hundreds of hours of streams from friends and twitch (didnt have a pc capable of gaming at the time). I adore this game and hope it lasts forever, or at least a very long time. I am not ready for BOB to die. But my hopes are looking further and further away at this point. Not only is the source code now public (or was? IDK), it was released because of the developer and his upper staff team's negligence, lack of remorse for unethical dealings, and inability to function properly. (spoiler alert, he called the bluff of a former staff member and it didnt work out in his favour. I was told it was PUBLICLY AVAILABLE for years if you just knew where to look, and that the staff team KNEW and was aware of this, to which the lead dev HAS STATED PUBLICLY this is true "but there's more to it" - which is something i feel he never grows tired of saying and leaving out the rest for the added mystery...it works until the 10th time you've heard it, and then by the 100th it's lost any kind of effect) With new management this game could soar again i believe, but as it stands now, no functional update has been released in years or been sufficiently tested for bugs/breaks (circa since coahuilaceratops release around 2021-22). Every update either removes a beloved feature that makes this game unique due to "this is the only way to fix the exploit" or breaks something new/rebreaks something that was recently "fixed". ----In what is somehow news, saying "this is the only way to fix the bug/exploit" 4+ times in recent update history, "unfortunate but that's our answer", etc with completely different bugs/exploits one after another that the community CONTINUES TO FACE after the "fixes" to said exploits and issues only serves to make people more aware that the team no longer cares about the game's ability to function as originally intended (or at all), as long as the fix is as easy as possible and the quickest option available (if the exploit is fixed at all).--- This is all made worse by the fact that the community can and has come up with several+ (most seemingly feasible from a layman's perspective) other options in feedback posts every time something goes wrong, bugged, or exploited. To put into perspective a bit of my personal assumptions based on the game's general lack of direction and planning, the lead dev can't figure out his priorities, the game's focus, nor what he'd even like to see in the staff team as a greater entity or from individuals. There isn't any leadership in any way or direction with the staff team, basically seems to be a "as long as you respond to the tickets, it doesn't matter what you do with them" guidelines. As long as staff takes a certain number of tickets in a time period (unknown to me) they're able to pretty much stay on as staff. Because of this, the response to every ticket is different depending on who takes it, different punishments, different decisions, even the game's own rules are not followed or as simple as what's written in regards to how tickets are handled. Everything is sideways. and the lead dev ignores most of his staff team for a select few (that for all intents and purposes could be feeding him lies, i have NO IDEA - but the result of it is that no one has the game's best interest at heart anymore because no one is on the same page nor are they communicating in any way). **Some background for why the recent en masse reviewing of this game has happened along with more emotional/personal reasons I'm not recommending the game::** - The entire PR team has quit, multiple staff members leaving and being publicly stated as "oh, they just had some personal stuff going on, we'll miss them terribly" when in reality they couldn't take it anymore and left. In this most recent outburst this week, people were being shotgun banned for reacting to messages asking why a formal apology was deleted (because of a situation on christmas where more shotgun bans were delivered for people speaking out against the team), and also banned for asking for clarification on what if any danger their personal info could be in/their pcs could be in since the source code had been leaked, and the only mod/PR people there could only say they were not told of the situation and the rest of the team was hiding and wouldn't tell them anything, honestly i wouldn't be surprised if NONE of them knew what was happening, but they either didn't know or didn't say who the person was that was randomly banning anyone who spoke. As far as I'm aware, officially all PR personnel has quit after/during this situation, and at least one was even banned after asking if their words "meant so little". Horribly ironic for a public relations (possibly the lead one? Most active one I'd ever seen) officer to ask if their words mean nothing and then get banned by their employer. This story is the newest, but most bans both former staff and community members echo the same: chaotic, an uncaring attitude, a lack of leadership and communication (among the staff and their playerbase), and all around indiscriminate "shotgun" banning. - This is context but also a bit more "tea" focused, regarding the feedback posts - WHOLE OTHER CAN OF WORMS - feedback posts are pretty much ignored no matter what it is or who it's from, because the only people who read them and care to bring feasible or helpful feedback to the upper staff/dev's attention are treated quite poorly. Upper staff seems to regard them as foolish, nosey, 'naive', annoying, etc. I have former staff friends that have been staff many years ago, recently, all different timings, and every time i hear a staff story from any friend's time spent on staff it is about the most dramatic stuff, romantic relationships between the staff, extreme levels of cliquey behaviour, unwanted romantic attention from the dev, possible fraud, specific staff "favourites" being paid under the table unknown from the rest, threats from hackers, betrayal, etc. It's like a full on soap opera that has been going on for at least 6+ years.
Imagine breaking the game for the entire player base because someone hurt your feelings

They are Botting reviews.... this game could be good if the devs would be swapped they have no heart or any care for their community and are just straight up ignoring almost everything they let people handle their support who have no idea about the game its trash absolute garbage pathetic admin abusing developer team.
Honestly it overall is pretty horrible. Firstly the official servers are full of cheaters and the private servers are full of PVE nerds. The compass and icons are awful, the eating and drinking is dull. The graphics are terrible and the movement is like from a phone game. Combat is just jumping and tail riding. This game is made for specific no lifers with no skill other than using glitches and bugs to fight. All the youtube videos I've watched made me buy the game and I was horribly deceived. Especially if you come from playing The Isle, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.
