Information / Review English
Bear Warrior is an action 3D fighter developed by Valkeala Softwares and Tero Lunkka.
Gameplay / Story
Have you always wanted to be a bear? Then please continue as this game could be something for you. Our main character is an unknown/young hero who was chosen to save the world. But everything from the beginning: As we know from Winnie the Pooh, this honey from the pot likes to eat, but in this game our hero likes beer. Yes, you've read that correctly. The player's mission is to hunt down the fat Sumo, defeat him and collect the golden skull. At the end of each level we fight against the fat sumo boss and if you defeat him you will receive a reward. The gameplay is easy to handle and kept simple. We cut our way through various hordes of enemies in hack and slash style, get new, stronger weapons and occasionally use a medicine kit until we reach the boss.
Pro
+ Bear as a hero + multiple enemy types + 5 different cards + different types of weapons + Graphics are coherent and colorful + atmospheric background music + good controls + suitable performance ratio + Achievements
Contra
- no replay value in the long term
Conclusion
Bear Warrior offers you a grind through different types of enemies, which is fun, but becomes monotonous in the long run. I would buy the game on sale.
First of all, thank you to the developer for providing us with this key for the group. Here you can find more good reviews from others and me and if you liked the review, then we would be happy about a thumbs up.

Information / Review Deutsch
Another low effort asset flip from shovelware 'developer' Candy games studios aka Tero Lunkka aka Valkeala Software. It's just a nonsensical mashup of five Unreal Engine marketplace maps. There's no tutorial, terrible UI, and the mechanics are half-baked at best. All the 'developer' did here was disjointedly connect a bunch of assets, randomly scattering enemies/objects around. Just look at the health potion icon to see the quality here - it's a stretched image with broken transparency. This is a shameful attempt at a cashgrab that uses fake reviews to try to look legitimate. Do not spend money on this under any circumstance - it's not even worth it for free.
Bear warrior is a third person action game. Some hack and slash action is typical. Game comes with 5 maps so there is some modicum of variety. The strategy is pretty basic. Game play is largely animated automatically. The grass is animated wich adds to the game world. Play tested on my MSI Katana with a GTX 3070 video is able to handle this game which is poorly optimized for older rigs, My machine has 32GB memory and the GPU is 8GB.
Warning: Asset Flip! Bear Warrior is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Marketplace assets, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper took a bunch of Unreal assets like the bear character, which he stole from the Fighters Pack, created by actual game developer, Maksim Bugrimov. These stolen assets got dumped on a very poor quality, lazy third person platformer template. This is possibly in violation of the ArtStation Standard License, but Tero likes breaching intellectual property and copyright licenses to dump this toxic garbage onto Steam, as a paid product. It has no value or merit as a real game. Tero Lunkka/Valkeala Software have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Office Racer" = Polygon Office developed by Synty Studios
"Candy Renovation" = Renovation Simulator developed by Manudog
"Fancy the Frog" = Pixel Adventure 1 developed by Pixel Frog
"Lawnmower Game: Pinball" = Pinball Construction Kit developed by Epic Games
"Survival Isolation" = Easy Survival RPG developed by Easy Systems
"Aliens Dont Exist" = Alien Character - Free Sprite developed by Craftpix
"Nash Racing 2" = Advanced Tuning Cars developed by James Novih
"Candy Puzzle" = Platformer 3 - Chocolate developed by ithappy
"Cyborg Invasion Shooter" = Third Person Shooter Kit developed by Epic Games
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The mismatched game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality, it's a wonder why they couldn't be bothered "borrowing" higher quality assets for this asset flip. This is a lot like going on a shoplifting spree but only stealing the cut price store brand goods. Regardless, the poor quality assets alone should be enough to deter gamers from bothering with this. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players, and the worst part is these weren't genuine players, these were the Russian fake review accounts that the developer paid to make the fake reviews. Since the fake reviews are all done, now the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR Part 465), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.
This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 100,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! Bear Warrior is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
