Be My Loyal Subject - Historical Boys Love (BL) Visual Novel

It's going to be a neutral review. As all other ChaniMK's games I've played before [I] Be My Loyal Subject [/i] was a nice, relaxing, lighthearted novel. I mean there were bad/death endings, of course. And despite having a couple of sentences for them I still felt touched. But anyway there was nothing too exciting. Everything in the game felt so familiar and typical for this dev's story. And btw I don't think it's a bad thing. It feels safe and comforting when you know what to expect. The reasons for a thumb up: +save slots \o/ still not enough xD I remember it was my biggest complaint all the time in these games. And here when the first (and usually the only) page of save slots was full and I was about to rewrite, I noticed there're more!!!The game had THREE pages of save slots xD That's such a huge progress. I still feel like there's not enough of them on steam. So I'm ready to praise any dev at least trying to create such stories. XD Though I feel that reviewer complaining about absence of nsfw content. This story has a great potential for this. Welp, there's always imagination XD +Loved all the characters. I like it how in ChaniMK's games we can interract with all the love options at once. The final result depends on your stats but it's not like the world is suddenly limited to one man on earth. And when MC actually goes courting all of them I find it hilarious, he IS the king:) +art is the same ;) it's like meeting old good friends in new reality. I kinda enjoy this feature ;) and what struck me—I saw nipples in one of CGs. Maybe there's a change of policy on steam now (with so many porn recommendations during this summer sale for me O_O) but I was surprised to see a char with nipples. +different kind of choices. Honestly, after several skippings it didn't feel like smth awesome but at first I truly enjoyed them. Like one investigation with a timer (more than enough to retry if you need). Those scrolls for king's approval were also fun. +it turned out to be a stat-rising game. Just after I've promised myself not to play any ;) buuut this one is made in a perfect way. I applaud. Even if I fail to gain enough stats, and it happened too often during even one playthrough ;) I got a bad ending aand a very generous, considerate, benevolent <3 offer to restart from that moment again with a handicap. Though the novel has 15! chapters, after the first playthrough the story is mainly skippable. --was not a fan of settings. That scroll looked so fitting for the story but was totally inconvenient :( I had to use keyboard all the time. I mean when I needed to skip, and I had to do it a lot, after every numerous choice I had to start skipping again but that scroll containing the necessary 'skip' button was closed all the time. So annoying :( --mmore save slots, please ;) --typos. I was laughing a lot at the sentence where the Merchant grabbed MC's eyes ;) --no steam guide for now. It's not very complicated to get all those 15 achs buut a couple of times I had to try twice. I really like this dev and all their games so far. Relaxing, cute, a bit simple perhaps but they are cheap. And now during summer sale have a good discount, so why not grab it for a short evening read. 80 minutes and no sex!!? put yo ♥♥♥♥ away King Ulric, it's not happening in this kingdom...

This game is a lot of fun. The dialouge, music and characters are so befitting of the era; and King Ulric's arrogant yet intelligent personality is such a gem to read (he is such a great character)! I like the main love interests, they're awesome (the steward is adorable as heck) and the storyline is very engaging and fun, with amusing little events and interactions! I also really like the art and character designs. They are simple and effective. I'm a bit biased in terms of the morale system, because I'm obsessed with the rights of the people. Have a feeling Ulric's demise may be at my own hands. I also like the base soundtrack. Though the songs are few, they are both catchy and nice bops to listen to. The town exploration theme is my personal favorite! The UI is pretty decent, with multiple saves and nice options. I like how fast the text moves, and the design of the interface is simple and easy to use. My only feedback regarding the UI is that it buffers and lags sometimes, and has a delayed response when picking options. Overall, this is a very good game for its price. I will certainly be buying more games of yours in future (especially love the choices that one can make. adds for fun variation). EXTRA: HOT DAMN THAT PLOT TWIST?!!!! This game is damn epic! Pros: - Fun and exciting to play with exploration modes, choices, and even TIMED choices - Petitions help you decide your popularity with the kingdom - Brilliant cast of characters - Prince Ulric's chemistry with the cast is incredible - Witty and fun dialouge - Brilliant Soundtrack - The storyline is full of exciting twists and turns - I like the picture CGs as well. Cons: - UI is a bit delayed/ slow movement when hovering over cursor choices - game kind of freezes a bit when choosing options - The petitions are a bit difficult (but this can be fun too)

Of all the things to happen in this game... So uh... I maybe didn't want other Love Interests to be left out, sooooo... The King was in love with all of them... And they were in love with him............ --> I MADE A HAREM! That isn't an option... It is in my head though... Heh heh. Right well... I noticed that every game I play from Chani, I get to have different things to tinker with. This one has a MORALITY system. IT ISN'T as scary as it sounds... You'll see. So basically you read as per usual: Make your choices. The choices are instinctual... (Just like in the other games by this Developer... THANKFULLY!) Then the King has to oversee "Requests" from people and you can only pick one. You have to have MORALITY at Mid-level to High... To not get a bad end. BUT IF YOU DO! Just restart the Chapter. Chani offered us a handicap... Especially for us who keep CONSTANTLY failing the Merchant's Morality haha... (You got it... It's me!) There is also a tricky Morality, which is the last one, as it differs from the ones you will get used to. Don't worry, you'll figure it out. I only say tricky because it's different. XD There is also like a mystery plot... I can never spoil those. I can possibly tell you how to get bad endings, but you will have to figure out how to get good endings. Like I said, I made a Harem of guys and hahaha... You can ONLY GET ONE IN THE END. The game chose the character that MC is supposed to be with, as I am pretty certain everyone else would be like you know... A "side piece". Either way, game not scary with mechanics. It's always a fun experience to read these games and I have more to look forward to. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! :D =) :3

this one reminds me a little of "your royal gayness" even if it's different some mechanics to keep everyone happy (or not) in your reign are similar didnt like the main protagoinst at first but then story was ok and I ended going for all routes and endings with no stress

Will recommend this game. Still a bit stunned how much they were able to put depth into such a short game. I think the only thing this game misses is a harem ending of sorts. But other than that? Each route got it's own interesting story to tell and the general story as well as the events are nicely written too. Again, it's short. But that's not necessarily a bad thing in this case. Go try it.

Daha fazla diyalog seçme seçeneği verseydi bir tık daha iyi olurdu. Genel olarak beğendim. Oyunu oynayabilmek için iyi bir İngilizce'ye sahip olmak gerekiyor ayırca.
