I love this game. It’s immediately obvious that this game is a genuine passion project. There’s an incredible amount of care, emotion, and attention to detail poured into it, and the lil easter eggs show just how much love went into its creation. One of my favourite parts was how Stella’s story is handled. Rather than explicitly spelling everything out, it trusts the player to piece together what she’s going through, with subtle writing/implication. To me that restraint makes the journey feel even more interesting and impactful. The games pacing kept me invested from beginning to end. There’s a constant sense of tension that leaves you on edge, with horror elements woven in naturally instead of relying on cheap scares. That created an atmosphere that was as unsettling as it was cutesy lmao ❤️ I also loved how the game wasnt afraid to experiment by incorporating in different types of games/game styles. Soundtrack and SFX were bangin. I also spent arguably too long playing the minigames bc they were genuienly entertaining. Overall, this is a beautifully crafted game with heart (if you know, you know :P), creativity and depth and is absolutely worth playing. I will be returning to play all future game releases!! TLDR: Genuine passion project, incredible first release, a lot of depth and emotion put into not only the characters, but every aspect of the game and experience. 100% recommend.
Best £2.50 you can spend on steam. Masterpiece...
Going into this game blind, on the first day of release, mind you, I truly had no idea what I was getting myself into other than it was a psychological thriller. It's not a very long game, and could be completed in a shorter time than I did (that birthday.zip password messed me up), but it's a very good game for such a cheap price. The ending note was very sweet and rewarding after playing through the entire game in my 2hr sitting, especially after I sat in my chair multiple times wondering what the hell I'd gotten myself into.
I enjoyed this game! It definitely got my heart pumping and the price tag was very reasonable. There were some sections that made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, but I think that was kind of the point? The sections dealing with self-harm were not fun. I kinda had to take my headset off for them, plus that one section with the voice call was very very loud. Some aspects of the game were... confusing to me. Like, opening up certain programs seemed to trigger events, even if I had already seen said event. And one of the days seemed to loop? I can see this being canon for the game itself, if I'm understanding it properly, but it could also be a bug/scripting error? Having said that, I think I understand the story of the game to a decent degree. The general themes were clear, and I definitely got some hints based off of weird comments that characters made. But still, getting confirmation in the worse of the two endings was appreciated. Looking at the trailer, I can't help but feel that I missed a large portion of the game. I'll probably hop back on at some other point to check it out and see if I can find what I missed. I liked it, it was absolutely worth the money. I can't help but feel that this might have been based, at least in part, on personal experiences. If so, I'm so sorry to everyone who had to go through that. Finding yourself is difficult. It took me years, and I think I'm still figuring it out. As long as you're here, you still have time. And the time that you do have should be spent with those that love and accept you. The real you. Pretending isn't worth it. Things don't get better until you face them, as scary as they can be. Stella realized that. You should too. Give yourself all of the love you would another. Stella isn't perfect. If I'm reading it right, she did some very bad things. But she's also just a person. And she deserves love. She needs that love to come from herself, not the boy she had to pretend she knew for 19 years.
Incredibly impressive for a first release. Definitely worth the money!
I'm not much of a horror game enjoyer, but did really enjoy this neat lil game. Unsettling from the beginning, the days unwind to reveal more creepy layers. Huge fan of the crt tv aesthetic and it is well done. (thank you for the slider!) Impressive initial release, and excited to see upcoming projects from the team. I definitely have a few more things to discover here and there. Worth the few bob to check it out
Very good little game, combining "cursed OS" elements with an emotional story and a compelling main character.
Really wanted to play this but I sadly became stuck at on the virus minigame - couldn't click quick enough. It also wasn't clear what I had to do and how much I needed to score in order to get past it. It might also be an issue with my computer but the enter to skip didn't work. The option to change colours was appreciated as was the CRT filter, though the font was often still too small for me. Sorry for this review
i loved it had a major ddlc vibe at the end cool short story literally such a nice thing to play in the evening. i litto loved it <3
