Quite good. I wish the graphics were not so low-poly and cartoonish, but the gameplay and campaign are solid.
Неплохая тактика. Вроде ничего такого прям, но затягивает.
wenn man auf runden basiert steht und auf mech ist das spiel echt super
The best IP out there and some incredible devs
Giving this a very minor thumbs up - simply due to a few factors. The amount of hours played shows good value, though many of those hours were reloads and frustrations. There is some charm in this brand for me and also lots of variety in the types of mechs and weapons to keep it interesting. The storyline is ok - even if I don't plan to finish the game. As someone who remembers the good 'ol mechwarrior games, tthose missions were tough in the day and you needed to replay a few times to get the set missions right but there was also a limit to them (and flopy discs made sure of that :D !!! This game has a few points, which is making me considering abandoning the game as the contracts and ensuing fights are getting very uneven. Pretty much all the fights are 2 to 1 against you, with a massive tonnage and mech-class disadvantage. The maps are mostly small in context. There's sometimes 13 or more mechs and really no way to get around the map to try to use cover or space to advantage. Often the physical barriers force you into only a few pathways and unfortunately don't often provide good cover (no hiding on these maps!). The LRM are great but also make the odds harder, as even if you draw mechs to you - those big numbers far away can still whittle you down over pretty much any type of cover too! The missions sometimes have many goals, and not always do you need to finish them all to get paid and salvage - however for evacs there is only ever 1 spot and typically this is set beyond the goal you don't want to engage in, i.e. you almost always have to go through the zones due to maps size, placement, and not having an evac you can 'retreat' too. Overall though, there are some fun mechanics, the maps aren't too repetitive and restarts can change up the opposing mechs. It's a shame the slugfest turned into drudgery and there were no easy contracts left to recover your losses.
There is a learning curve here .. and you will absolutely HAVE to follow certain "paths" to improve your Pilots, Ship, and Mechs .. no choice .. can't progress without "the grind" .. it's just the way it is .. you can be unique and like-no-other, just like everyone else. .. and watch a ton of videos that break down the mechanics of the game. Because if you don't you will absolutely waste a ton of hours (days or weeks level of hours) restarting/starting over .. and over .. and over, before you come to the realization, that's is literally the way the game was made to be played .. you fail .. fail again .. and again, before you "find the ways (plural) to the formula of success .. .. yeah .. I'm still learning. ********************** Old Rage-Review .. Giving this game another shot ******************** I love the idea of this game, it starts off great .. moves to challenging .. and then drops off a cliff into sheer idiocy by nerfing you to move on player and shoot, they move everything they have and shoot every thing they have, and every once in a while you get to move and shoot with two troops .. etc .. etc .. etc .. and it's quite honestly a (bad word) show. I can see why soooooooo many players use mods to just make the game enjoyable and not a never-ending fiasco of being on the edge of bankruptcy because after every mission you spend everything you earned on repairs, new crew (which are absolute muppets who can't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside with all the doors closed .. and just like the skeletons in Minecraft, the AI-enemy RARELY misses a shot. Man I loved the table-top BattleTech .. but this?? .. it's a hot mess of a dumpster fire on steroids with terminal brain cancer and an incurable STD. So No, I do not recommend this game (at least until I find the mods that allow you to move every turn like the enemy does .. absolute crap.
Awesome mech game with a good story and a ton of weapons and mechs to customize.
This game seems to be super amazing! All the story and customization and open world options seem super fun!!! I recommend!!!!
I like turn based strategy games, among which Battletech is imo the only one which matches up to XCOM2. Acutally it is not really comparable since the game mechanics are different. The love of details and challenge for carefully planeed action is really comparable. I run this game on linux with steam. It runs very fast and with no problems at all.
