Captures a similar feeling to tabletop. My word of advice? Swallow your pride and save scum until you understand everything. There is no shame in it and let no one insult you for it because the AI doesn't have to worry about a campaign cost. If you want "authentic" then give yourself some grace, THEN do a no save scum run when you actually understand what the hell is going on. Game is great, the tutorial in true paradox fashion is a dumpster fire.

Ha este juego le tenía ganas desde hace tiempo. Cayeron las ofertas de Steam y no me aguanté. Jamás había conocido antes la franquisia de BattleTech antes. Pero después de este juego, la recomiendo para los aficionados de los mechs con físicas realistas. La trama es, para mi, de lo mejor que e visto en mi vida. Lo recomiendo al 100%. 10/10.

6/10 game, not worth 20 euro for the base game and one dlc(happy I didn't buy the other 2), more like 10(15 at most), story is short and dialogue option give illusion of choice(you don't), some say a second playthrough with mods is warranted, but I felt so ripped off I'm not gonna bother

I hated the base game. I am loving RogueTech mod. Buy for the mod.

I liked this game so much I bought it again on Steam when GOG changed their cloud storage limits to only 200mb. Personally I think it's near-perfect even vanilla, with many QoL mods from launch timeframe being turned into free updates or paid DLC later. I do mod it but just with a system that allows enemy pilots to eject, otherwise they'll fight to the death every time. However the various full conversion mods that the game supports definitely add to the replayability and fun, and if you're here for that total battletech experience, then know the community keeps these mods supported and they're still great to play in 2026.
