About
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is a survival fleet-management roguelite with procedural narrative design and real-time space battles. Shoulder the heavy burden of leadership as you make critical decisions for your fleet’s survival under constant pressure.
You command a fleet of survivors relentlessly chased by the Cylon Fleet. Each new run represents another desperate attempt to rejoin Humanity’s last hope: the Battlestar Galactica.
Prepare, fight, and survive at all costs.
So say we all.

Fleet Management phases offer limited turns to prepare until the next inevitable Cylon assault. As the enemy draws closer, designate priorities to ensure your fleet’s survival:
Dispatch expeditions to nearby points of interest for resources
Allocate supplies and personnel to resolve urgent situations
Upgrade ships for survivability and firepower
Train crew to improve efficiency in and out of combat

Your decisions continuously affect the Fleet’s overall status: faction politics, healthcare, and maintenance levels. Each indicator dynamically triggers narrative events tailored to your fleet’s condition. Your fleet’s fate can evolve in drastic ways if you’re not careful: epidemics, critical system malfunctions, or even a full-blown civil war.
In times of crisis, the Fleet looks to you to make hard decisions. Given your limited resources and time, determine if your fleet can afford to solve a crisis immediately or suffer its negative effects over time.
Perhaps the most challenging crisis you’ll face will be discovering a Cylon has infiltrated your ranks: investigating suspects will cost resources, but taking too long will cost lives.

The Cylon Fleet overwhelmingly outnumbers you. Each encounter is about survival, not victory. Fight high-risk tactical battles while your fleet prepares an FTL jump to safety.
Coordinate frontline squadrons with powerful Gunstar strikes in real time
Use Tactical Pause at any time to preview your attacks and enemy movements
Create synergies to deploy enemy-specific strategies by leveraging your unit strengths and unique abilities.

Rejoining the Battlestar Galactica is a perilous mission with no margin for error. Most fleets will fail, but each attempt will provide new ways to overcome the unforgiving odds stacked against your survival.
Unlock up to four starting fleets, each with its own unique playstyle
Clear trials to access additional squadron units, gunstar weapons, and modifiers that will appear in your next run
Invest in valuable meta upgrades that will benefit all future fleets you command
Challenge higher difficulty levels to test your limits as a commander

I have rendezvoused with the Battlestar Galactica finally after my fourth run on normal difficultly. I really enjoy this game. People saying it is similar to FTL are correct, it is also very similar to the beginning of Season 1 of the show! The concept is very well executed. I feel like I'm pushing a fleet and its crew to their limits in a mad chase across the galaxy where every jump is a gamble with life and death. I like the resources and gathering, character, fleet, weapon, and squadron mechanics. They are useful, engaging, and add the right amount of depth to the game. I like the reputation mechanic and how the affects if you get/what crisis you get, or boons, but I do not like how negative events have a larger effect than positive events on reputation. I like the crisis and boon quests themselves too. There are some crisis that are easy, some that are arduous. While there are a lot of crisis and it can get frustrating to get hit over and over by them, with careful decision making and usage of resources, plus some luck, you can overcome! Makes them feel like a real crisis! I think there should be some additional boon quests with more profound weapon or fleet rewards. I think this game is appropriately difficult, especially since it is supposed to a replayable roguelike (roguelite? idk) EDIT: yeah way too many negative minor situations for how many crisis there are. you need to decrease the amount of minor negative situations there are and add in some positive situations because otherwise there is just no semi-regular way to increase relations with factions
If you are fan of BSG, this is straight 10/10. if you like strategy games, commanding fleets, space strategy, this game is great too.

I really wanted to like this game, but ... 1) There is no way to tell a unit to hold fire and don't move. This makes life very, very frustrating on missions with mines. 2) The are unending crises and things that require your attention... including criminals, workers and your own military that are pack of whiny buttheads that won't shut up. To the point where you can't even finish an action with getting interrupted. If it weren't for these two massive annoyances, this would be a really good game.
This feels like playing those first four episodes of BG! Legitimately on the edge of my seat playing through each run. I'm a bit disappointed at the mix of graphical styles. I absolutely love the 8bit renderings of the bridge scenes, but it clashes with the painterly story overlays and the 3D combat scenes. This makes the game feel less cohesive, like it was created by 3 different teams. There are some polish and graphical issues (overlays and blocking events are inconsistent, the "grey overlay" doesn't quite line up with the screen; the game doesn't respect laptops with "camera notch" cutouts at the top). A quick "bug fix" week of dev time would sort this all out, so looking forward to future polish patches to really tidy it up. Despite my quibbles with the presentation, overall the game still works very well together. The depth of progression for your BattleStar, your Heroes, your Squadrons, and even your Support Ships (nevermind the various other ugprades...) really does make it feel like you are honing your fleet over the course of the run. Some upgrades are legitimately exciting, big-ticket unlocks. Ultimately, I think it's worth the money to play through successfully even just once (which took me 3 attempts). The escalation system isn't particularly interesting to me, but the other fleets are. This might be sequel or DLC territory, but I like to see things play out - and don't like using anything with an activateable ability. Is there a way we can have AI run the squadrons during combat? (Playing via crossover on OSX and it works great. Would love to see a native build.)
Mixed thoughts on this game, I like the setting and generally this kind of game. However it doesn't feel particularly finished, QoL issues abound, there's very little background lore so it feels like they've just sloppily slathered the art style and some references over the game that could have been anything. I feel it's missed out some elements as it lacks the RTS of deadlock or say Gothic that would make the combat sections feel more interesting. The ticking down random weapons of the gun star don't feel that interesting and it makes it a pause fest. Something a bit more like a classic FTL experience where you configure the ship or the fallout shelter style the latest trek game did would have made that combat style more interesting by giving some baseline weapons you manage and improve in the non combat phase with only a smaller amount of deployable one offs. And of the one offs the nukes are just annoying, they're an ok concept, but they shouldn't take up a weapon slot if they're going to be a main resource rather than a general ammo resource. Once you have a few runs the events start repeating themselves. And the heroes are a little one dimensional, the bars a good idea, but you only get one and sometimes two chances at events that might or might not be the heroes, it isn't an click the character any time for a conversation that might or might not go somewhere or you can build favor with in smaller ways. The decisions are presented as impactful, but the scenarios are simple "spend x type of resource to solve" there a few deeper interactions, but its too RNG not RPG to be truly enjoyable. Some of the combat ends up very similar, the diversity of new ships even if they totally lack any interesting lore to read does add character, but sometimes they're just too random and there's no real way to counter if you don't have the right tools. Having a diversity of ships always available and you have to adapt on the fly with them to counter things like electronic warfare style effects would be interesting, and even having more use of pause to have to do something to make that work in some kind of minigame would make it at least skill based. As it stands however you can get RNG'd with an unkillable enemy configuration because it can spam unkillable ships. This feels a bit like a very mature alpha or beta of a game that has had BSG slapped over it. There's certainly some good bits of the game, but there are games that do this better and the combination of things they've borrow to build this version is the wrong combination, or at least not implemented well enough or deep enough to be the right combination. Ultimately you end up with something that feels a bit shallow that could have been a mobile or browser game. Hopefully they fix it, but I'm pretty disappointed with it and I kind of wish I had played a demo first as I don't think I would have bought it at launch if I really understood it. It also frustratingly made me want to go play deadlock, and then get even more frustrated I couldn't go buy the DLC for it as the license has clearly been pulled, which frankly should be illegal and I've no doubt will happen to this game.
Pica. Mais pica ainda se vc viu a série
Very good.
This game is great, I haven't played a ton, but I was thoroughly surprised by how well it captured the mood of BSG. If you're on the fence, give the demo a try, but for the price it's worth the dip. Gameplay is a bit like advanced FTL. It plays a fair bit slower, the fights are very tactical, and in-between you resolve events to keep resources up, balance opposing factions among the civilian ships, manage multiple crisis, improve the ship and recover from the latest combat. A full run takes a few hours or more. The negative reviews about the "Dodger" class ships and some of the other RNG are totally valid, the dodger is generally a super annoying ship and some encounters are loaded with them, and those do suck. The flood of events can get feeling oppressive, especially near the end; however I feel really matches the tension of the BSG universe, and is a great fit for the universe overall. It does slow the pacing down and can be a little annoying in that way, but I wouldn't want to see major changes to the system.
