About
Become a journalist who researches old car accident cases. Help victims and perform first aid, obtain evidence and reconstruct the events to discover what really happened. This game contains blood scenes with victims of car accidents.
Examine the victims
Evaluate the victims' condition and get to work! Are they breathing? Do they have any serious wounds? Anything might be crutial to their survival. Provide first aid, control the bleeding, check for pulse and put them in recovery position if you can. Do whatever is necessary depending on nature of the emergency.
Make decisions
Who to help first? How to do it the best way? By helping the wrong way, you can put other people's life in danger, or even your own. Think twice but remember - time's running out!
You made a bad choice? Didn't manage to save all the wounded victims? You have a chance to fix that! Turn back time and try again.
Find the reasons behind accidents
When you're helping someone, every second counts, there's no time for deep examinations on the reasons behind the accident. But at the end of your rescue mission, you'll be able to analyze the whole situation, pick up the pieces and find out what caused the accident.
Be a part of different rescue missions: from simple car bumps to serious chain-reaction crashes in various locations, weather conditions and even at different times. Gain experience and learn how to help people in real life situations.

Anytime I see a game i liked get a mixed or mostly positive review aggregate score I like to leave a postive review. Yes this game is a bit janky but I think it's also a lot of fun. It is pretty unrealistic to have a normal everyday civilian be expected to do the duties of a paramedic / crash scene investigator. But I mean it's a videogame so I think a little suspension of disbelief goes a long way to making this a fun experience. The reward of seeing the crash afterwards animated really jankily is totally worth finishing every case. The first time one played I got a grin on my face and they never got old.
I liked this game more than I thought I would! The scenarios are interesting and it's pretty educational to be honest. It also does a pretty good job at showing how quickly accidents can happen. I think it's worth the time!
A fun game with some wild crashes. Wish there were more than 10 levels and at least some achievements. Only took 2.5 hours to beat so not sure it would be worth the price tag. I grabbed it from a humble bundle sale.
Mid, But Serviceable
Accident is one of those games that needs a mixed option on Steam instead of just yes or no for recommending it. It's a very simple game with not a lot of content but I found myself enjoying it for the very short runtime and there's some things it does really well. Would I say to get it at full price? Absolutely not, but for the $4 it goes on sale for, if it looks interesting to you I think you can do a lot worse. The core gameplay loop is simple. You show up to an accident, call the first responders, secure the area, check on the victims, treat the victims, and piece together how it all happened. This could get really repetitive but I actually found myself getting into a rhythm as the game went on and the game has enough variety in the accidents to keep things interesting. Some accidents take place in different places or time periods and the game actually has some great attention to detail with this. Where you are affects which emergency number you call, which side of the road people are driving on, and the time period might affect how you call the first responders. It's nothing groundbreaking or overly special but I appreciated the detail and variety it offered. Unfortunately the core gameplay loop is really simple, and it's never that difficult to put together what happened. Usually you can tell exactly what happened within 30 seconds of showing up to the scene, and it was a bit frustrating how strict the game is with how you carry out your response. Want to check a victim with a stick in their chest as you turn the car ignition off? Nope, sorry, you have to go turn off all the other cars first, even if the person is clearly critically injured. I would have liked to have a little more agency in how I carry out my response but this isn't a huge problem. Overall, Accident is a perfectly average experience with a decent idea and good enough gameplay loop. I do wish there were a couple more accidents to do, but if it looks interesting and is on sale, there's worse ways to spend a couple bucks.
Accident is a good and short game, It has you wanting more at the end. Also has that realistic idea and feel, the type that you could use in real life. Overall a 9/10 game, and I would like to see a sequel to Accident.
This is quite an edutainment game, though more on the educational side than the entertainment side. Your player character essentially dives into this advanced VR headset where you investigate 9 different, realistic cases of motor vehicle accidents. Each case explores a different perspective and series of steps for what to do as a Good Samaritan coming across a very recent scene of an accident. For instance, a car is about to fall off a cliff, so you better prioritize getting some stones in order to balance out the car from falling over, or else, the scenario is instantly over in 15 seconds. I even like how the game explores how the resulting crash can lead cars on opposite sides of the road, far away from each other, and you have to sprint to and fro in order to save their lives. It is funny how a couple of scenarios have bystanders that completely do nothing or actively hurt you; for instance, as I am running back and forth between two cars, the oncoming traffic does not stop and the bystanders will just kill you if you are in front of their car. At the end of each scenario, it plays a lot more like a game where you pick up clues and start deducing what happened, and if you do so correctly, a cutscene plays out which reminds me a little like those mock crash reenactments like "Operation Prom Night". In these cutscenes, the messages are a little indirect since some of the accidents are unavoidable such as what happens when an animal crosses the road or a rock is naturally on the road, but others are avoidable: wear your seatbelt, don't text and drive, and don't try to speed especially in the rain. There is a caveat that there is a bit of jank. Part of the unintuitive controls are meant to simulate that you are a layman trying to provide impromptu medical care in order to prolong their lives before professional medical help can arrive, or there is one scenario expects that you to restart from the beginning, so if you try to speedrun it on restart, if you get out of your car too quickly, a bystander car immediately kills you. Nonetheless, there is also some proper jank. For instance, I had a level where I just could not open a CPR case for a particular victim after using rewind, so I had to fully restart the game and load back into the level from the beginning to have that work. Also there was one scenario where the seatbelt did not get in the way of my inspection even though it should have. Overall, I can recommend this game if you want to learn what to do in the case of serious motor vehicle accidents. I feel better prepared for what happens if I am in a serious accident while still being conscious and able, or if I come across an accident as a bystander.
