Reviews

Honestly I still have fun with this game. It runs great on linux, and I dont see the need to have updates every other week like people seemed to have expected. I'm an older gamer so I'm used to not getting 'balance' changes. I play using what others deem garbage weapons and make no excuses. I'm able to hold my own just fine. I dont get the hate this game got. The community is small and niche now but to me thats just fine. This game is still good if you dont got a btch in ya ear tellin you its bad.
Still in early access and last update was more than 2 years ago. This game has been abandoned, it's developers made off with all of our money and disappeared. Don't bother.
They captured lightning in a bottle. And then just... decided to do ♥♥♥♥ all with it, shame.
Devs gave up on a multimillion dollar opportunity with all the hype this game had, but threw it away and have added close to zero new content since. Do not reccomend
This game had insane potential when it first launched: Battlefield 2042 was out and lambasted as a failure, and the crown for a combined arms shooter was in the gutter. BattleBit was perfectly engineered for success in nearly every way as it was accessible before anything else. It could run on potato PC in an era where system requirement creep in games had begun to hit terminal velocity. Not only that, the game captured lightning in a bottle with the fact that it catered to casual fun and old-school persistent-lobby fun akin to gaming in the 2000s and 2010s. BattleBit would hit massive early success, but unfortunately never left the ground because of pathetic mismanagement by the rather egotistical devs. Like countless other games run by young Roblox devs, the developers would spend most of their time updating the game based on whoever glazed them the most in their Reddit and Discord servers. BattleBit would never leave this death spiral. The game quickly went into content drought. The chat and proximity began to get quieter as the banhammer would slaughter anyone. The game balance for weapons and movement was never properly addressed, and quickly became yet another shooter that lost its casual audience, and was commandeered by movement-tech players who worshipped the devs. Now we see the rotting corpse of potential. The devs occassionally scream into an empty void promising the audience of nobody a "revamp fr fr guys" while there has not been content in almost 3 years. It's gone, and the crown is in the gutter once again.
