You know how some unfortunate kids die due to being left in the car on a hot summer day by neglectful parents? That's basically what happened to Battlebit Remasterd.

I really enjoyed this game however I cannot recommend it to new players as it has been left in limbo by the developers... not to mention that chat is basically dead due to bad moderation.
Used to be a good game till they ghosted the community for years leaving them with a cliff hanger of doing a big update to the game. Coincidently they came back into the fray when BF6 came out talking about that big update they promised years ago. Well it's too little to late and honestly just seems like a desperate cry for attention rather than a real attempt at fixing the core issues killing the game.

I would do anything to go back to summer 2023 with this game in its prime bro
I genuinely wish this review didn’t have to be written. When BattleBit Remastered arrived, it captured a rare kind of lightning in a bottle. It took the sprawling, chaotic formula of classic Battlefield, packaged it into an approachable low-poly aesthetic, and offered engaging gunplay, deep customization, classes, vehicles, and incredible local proximity chat—all for fifteen dollars. How could it possibly fail? For a time, the moment-to-moment gameplay was phenomenal. It took the internet by storm because it delivered exactly what it promised. Beyond the tight mechanics and massive servers, the true texture of the game was its community. Yes, gamers can be loud and a bit much, but for every person yelling to the clouds about cheaters or weapon balance, there were three more of us just logging in after a long day of work, wanting nothing more than to relax and banter with our friends in the trenches. It was an ecosystem built for camaraderie. But then came the friction—not from the gameplay, but from the void outside of it. Two years of silence. The player count dwindled and eventually fell off a cliff, suffocated by a sheer lack of interaction and apparent attention from the developers. I do not doubt for a second that the creators love their product, but passion works both ways. When a community invests time and faith into your project, two years of total silence demonstrates a profound lack of love for the players themselves. Stepping into this line of work requires understanding that maintaining the relationship is just as vital as building the engine. I cannot in good conscience recommend this title. Even if the team manages to rally, right the ship, and begin pushing out content at a pace that surpasses Hello Games’ redemption of No Man's Sky, the story for me ends here. The window for that reconciliation is beyond closed. I can't say exactly when that door shut, but I think everyone still watching knows it did. I will fondly remember the time when this low-poly indie shooter took the internet by storm, but it will forever remain just that: a finite, faded memory.
They promised an update 3525634 years ago and they never delivered, the game was INSANE back then, it's not worth it now, what a fall from grace.
Oh what could have been.
