Think of this game as kingdom rush where there are prechosen spots to place your buildings but in VR. This game is brutally hard! The game may freeze when loading but you simply must wait as it takes awhile to load!
Updated September 2021: The game started working. The game menu did not show in VR but it did show on my monitor. So I could point with the valve index controller and start the game while looking at the monitor. After this the game started working and the image is now shown in the VR headset as well. Now that the game works, it is actually a great tower defense game. ---- Old review: The game cannot start with Valve Index... It crashes on startup and unfortunately I cannot get a refund because it has been too long since I bought the game.
Short review after 3 rounds: First of all I like the game and it is a good tower defense and can make some fun but there are some things that need to be changed. So I will recommend the game when these things change: 1.) You can only set towers on predefined positions. Thats a major issue... Would be 100% cooler if you could set towers where you want. I mean building them like in Warcraft and not on these predefined boxes. 2.) Besides your roomscale you can't change your position on the map. Add more positions or enable Fly-Over. And also give the option to zoom in (that youre closer to the battle and everything looks bigger). Currently you sit in a chair and spectate/build towers from some distance. There is no real VR-necessity. You could play this game on the Desktop aswell. These two points would be quite important for me. I bought the game during a sale for ~6,99€. That's OK but I would not pay more money for the current state of the game. The game has some potential though.
Awesome tower defense game. Beginning levels are pretty simple the later ones can get challenging. Love the tower defense levels where you attack and defend on the campaign.
great game cant wait for it to be finished
Starts as a standard tower defense. Ideal number of units, towers and upgrades. Additionally there is a battle mode, when you can set up your wave while still must do the tower defense thing. Very well balanced. Fun for a 7-10 hours. Not really uses the VR capabilities, but controls are fine and easy. Recommended!
It's a VERY basic for TD game. Towers are very typical and tower effects and placement options are very limited, why are they spaced so far apart? There's very little room for strategy, doesn't seem to be any focus on tower synergy. Just watch some youtube videos and basically everyone ends up doing the same thing because it really is that limited. I didn't play the offense part however. There's also no way to adjust the camera and you're so far from the battlefield, I don't see the point playing this in VR, unlike Brass Tactics and Castle Must Be Mine which let you zoom in anywhere and get INTO the battlefield which is amazing to see. I might revisit this game when it's complete but for now it feels very underwhelming. I think you'd only enjoy this if you're totally new to TD games. I've had far more fun in android TD games like Fieldrunners 2 and Prime Defenders.
A neat little game that's a mixture of Tower Defense and Warcraft. I really like it. Game info: * 3 worlds with 5 maps in each. About 5-15 min gameplay per map. * Really great tutorial where you start playing immediately. * Quite difficult to earn a perfect score, but it wouldn't be fun otherwise. * The game appeals to strategic players.
Ich kann dieses Spiel nicht starten- es fehlen die Schlüssel für die Schlösser. Ich bitte um Hilfe. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Alfred
Really fun game, I didn't think I would like a tower defense game in VR but they do a good job at implementing VR into it.
