Scoot Kaboom and the Tomb of Doom is a fiendishly fun action platformer that all takes place on one enormous screen. Run, dive and dodge through the twisting maze, evading spikes, saws, fireballs, portals and even more and escape the Tomb of Doom!

Well that was extremely silly and good fun for a couple of hours. (Note: if you're the kind of person who completes a game in under two hours and then refunds it, the kind of person you are is a wanker; don't do that.)
Quick Score: 3/5 Notes: Game is pretty generic and average. The YOLO achievement is painfully slow and stupid so do not buy this game if you are an achievement hunter. This also isn't helped by how inconsistent the movement often feels. Character constantly gets caught on corners of platforms and other random stuff. Would never recommend this at full price, only on an extreme sale. Regular full playthrough of the game would only take most people about 2 hours.
I umm'd and ahh'd as to whether to review this as recommended or not for a couple of weeks after completing. I ultimately erred on the side of recommending, as the game does deserve more attention than I feel it's gotten, but the recommendation is almost conditional on doing the YOLO (which has it's own drawbacks beyond just being another stupid platformer YOLO). Further detail below. For a casual player, the experience is short-lived. You get to the end, you get your food of choice, and you're done. This takes under 2 hours for a first play through. The additional modes do little to liven the game up, adding a new gimmick that changes how the game is played in some way that ultimately just gives the same experience with a slightly different shade of paint over the top. If your goal is to 'just get to the end', I'd recommend against the game. Where the game shines though is in figuring out cycles, figuring out approaches to make consistent that which seems like some haphazard BS the first play time through. This outcome is only achieved through the YOLO (endurance mode), assuming you don't trivialise the exercise through the use of accessibility options. I love that accessibility options are there enabling everyone to play how they feel best suits their needs, but for me, they took away from the one element of the game that made it worthwhile. I ultimately came back to the game to beat it without just the intent of ticking off 'another steam hundo'. When viewed with the lens of "I need to not die" (rather than just getting to the end), the sections are varied, the hazards are interesting, and the platforming is... well... inconsistent. Unfortunately whilst the 'levels' are interesting, the game decides it doesn't want to behave consistently. Some plays through a full jump won't clear 2x blocks, sometimes you'll get stuck in a corner, and other times you'll get pushed back by an invisible wall (that for some reason never happened in the 10hrs you'd played previously?). I've not been so frustrated with a game before due to the game itself, rather than something attributed to my own skills. So with all these caveats.... The game is flawed, the non-YOLO challenge is limited, the price is high for the content and design compared to other games in the genre... but it's a good game. A bit unpolished, a bit janky, a bit unfulfilling as a casual player.. but at the heart of it, it's a good game.
Looked like a kids game, plays like Super Meat Boy. I'm going to stop after about 15 minutes of playing, because I have anger management issues. But if you're not that type of person this game might be for you.
Fun silly platformer puzzler that all takes place on 1 single screen. Challenge done right, very satisfying 7/10
I'd say overall this game is pretty fair. :) I guess I'm 30% completion thus far...
Neat little game heavily focused around cycles. Endurance mode is tough.
Possibly one of the worst games I've ever played. Cons: - The game never really does anything with its main gimmick of being a one-screen game, feels more like an excuse to have just one cycle "beat" on all stages, - all areas feel about the same, most of them have the same obstacles and just blend together, - most of the game is just waiting for the right cycles, actual platforming challenges are sparse and usually not too demanding - janky as hell: getting stuck on corners, invisible walls, you name it, this game has it all Pros: - none really, the single moment I enjoyed about this game was clicking the uninstall button The game is probably fine for a casual playthrough, but doing the yolo achievement with no assist will truly test your patience. Avoid at all cost.
我有点想抱怨的是随随便便不到一个小时就通关了。 当然关卡设计还是有点意思的,但说实话内容确实不够足,也就只能用来放松一下了。
It's a 'Needle Game' and not a good one. I also don't like 'Needle Games' so I am probably biased.
