It's very cozy. I play solo, but even then it's still really fun since you get to play a lot (and I mean A LOT) of cards. The vibes on this game are so nice that I don't get upset at all when I lose a run.
Surprisingly fun game
I went in completely uninitiated with pessimistic expectations and I'm completely blown away.
This game scratches an itch.
Lots of rock band deck-building to do. Lots of repetitive soundtracks too.
EASILY my favorite deckbuilder game in the past 3 years. The art is incredible. The leveling is rewarding. The music is filled with bops. I love this game.
It's Rock and Roll Deckbuilder very similar to Sentinels of the Multiverse; you have your own themed decks and must defeat prebuilt boss decks that have different inherent strategies with the ultimate goal being the final boss of the run. It's also got PvP if you are into that, it's usually all bots so you can grind the cosmetics if you want. The lore is just awesome, some kind of metalocalypse hit the city and made rock and roll a regular aspect of life. As far as I can tell none of the bands we're fighting are actual villains, they don't seem to have evil plans or anything, we just rock out. Enemy bands include a trio of ska loving dogs, a necromancer, a junkrat in his kustom skrap titan, This game is fantastic for groups of friends and it's very easy to learn. You get XP per instrument and unlock better cards after a run, at some point they relaxed the XP gain so that you can get level 30 fairly quickly and can even play handicapped matches to earn even more XP. I wish there were a few more layers of progression though. Guitar is combos and crew manipulation, Keyboards is similar to a barbarian in terms of high risk assault, Drums is handbuilding (you buff Snare Hit cards) and energy gain, and the bassist is your general support and card draw expert. As you unlock cards, these rolls become more pronounced. By level 30 you can do insane things like routinely throw down 20 hype snare hits late game. So, I do have a few complaints. Some card unlocks are fairly lackluster, and you rarely see many of them. There is a hidden "rarity" mechanic where the cards you get offered are hard locked to your progression. This prevents situations where you get too many full art rares, but it also means you cannot build a deck around these kinds of cards because you only get one or two good hits at the very end of a run. Meanwhile there's a good 30% of the cards I have unlocked which I have just never seen in game; at over 70 hours played that's kinda nuts.
¡Me encanta! Grandes temas, apartado artístico molón, gran variedad de opciones para poder comunicarse con los otros miembros sin tener auriculares ni micro (lo cual es crucial) y con una gran variedad creativa para especializar a tu Pj (y a la banda).
I like the game. I enjoy having my own band and rocking out with the card battle system. I like that there is multiplayer and having a strat for using your attack cards is a thing. The last boss however is just silly. I think I beat him once. I don't mind the challenge but there are just some really cheap and busted cards he gets which just wipes you. I will say I can only do about 2 full runs at a time before I start losing interest. There have been times when I get completely bodied by some of the cpu bands you have to battle. The RNG gods enjoy watching me suffer. Add more cosmetics, maybe a few new bands to play against, stop with the broken final boss deck lolz. overall 7/10, will keep playing.
Simply worth it. Amazing art. Innovative play. A gem of a game.
