Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition

Would:ve loved to play the game but it onyl opens in a smal window on my screen even though the in-game option is checked, the config files are looked through, my drivers are new and my driver-settings are not confilcting with it. So I'll sadly not even be able to play the game.

The combat was very nice. ​As for the story, I’m not deep into Batman lore, so whenever I was doing collectibles, random characters kept showing up that meant zilch to me. If I was more tapped into the lore, it might’ve hit differently. ​ The story and ending were super meh, kinda underwhelming to be real. But the overall gameplay was a blast. The fact that they mastered the combat mechanics in the very first game of the franchise is super good.

Highly reccomend playing through it. It's not that long (17h is with finishing the open world, just without the fighting and predator encounters). I kinda wish it was longer, but at the same time I feel like the creators told the story they wanted to and didn't unnecessarily bloat the game. Worst part of the game is getting it to load the first time (I spent like two hours trying to get it to boot up, gave up and went to City, came back and the game works). The characters don't go on some grand arc, but they feel real, they have their motivation and goals they work towards. Most disorientating thing is the gadgets (both selection and quickfire) having different keybinds than other games in the series, but it's easy enough to adjust to. Had some bugs but nothing terrible. Dunno if this is a bug or a matter of the game being older, but the game despises my bluetooth headphones. I can force them to work, but not during the "medal" (I don't remember what they were called) sections.
