About
Humanity is almost extinct and the planet lies in ruins. The hopes of humanity lie in the survival of a child, a child that you must protect at all costs from the hordes of the night that will stop at nothing to destroy everything. You embody an all-purpose care robot, awoken by an emergency distress call. As you head to the surface, you intercept an escape pod of a human child, which results in your mission parameters being updated to protect the child at all costs. However, your memory banks are failing- if you could only remember why this child in particular is so important…
Gather your resources, prepare your Barricadez and strategies during the day, and hold out against the hordes until dawn in this unique side scrolling tower defense game. You’re in it for the long haul. As day turns to night you make haste to shore up the defenses to protect the cradle. Defeat your enemies to collect experience in the form of engrams which allow you to upgrade your skills and become stronger and efficient.Genres

They're coming... I spent too long in the caves! Every night, waves of enemies come from nowhere to steal yo baby. You have to build up your walls and defenses with the loot you find and dig underground. This game has little in the way of tutorial, and it may be a bit of a struggle to find your footing when you start... But it is well worth the struggle. Let me give you the breakdown; Cons: - Hard to understand > There is little in-game tutorial as of now, but there is a tips page updated recently - No information on enemies > No easy way to see enemy health, etc. and enemy pathing takes a bit to figure out - A little lacking in story > But it IS still early release. Pros: - Interesting tower-defense/mining/building combination > Build the perfect base to protect you from enemies of different sizes, shapes, and movement patterns. - Gameplay that encourages critical thinking > There is no one 'best' way to build, as the interesting wave combinations can surprise you. - Skill trees to improve aspects of the gameplay - Keep some skillpoints (Engrams) on gameover, so you can start over with an edge > Good for those who enjoy rogue-likes - Periodic, consistent updates Overall, it's a fresh experience. Of course there are bugs to fix, and some areas that need improvement, but it's worth a try! The concept leaves lots of room for future expansion, so even if it doesn't appeal to you now, pack it into your wishlist for the full release.
I'm a sucker for these kinds of games. Similar to Mindustry or Grim Nights, but probably more potential given what's already here at this stage of development. It's pretty straight forward - gather resources, defend against waves of enemies - but there is a bit of a leaning curve given the lack of tutorial and less than clear English directions. Not impossible to figure out with trial and error. It's fun as is, but will benefit from increased accessibility and features.
You're a robot and you want to defend a baby from zombies, for some reason. How do you do this? Maybe take the baby under ground and build a defensible bunker? Or maybe build an elaborate fortress with high tech weapons and traps? Not for this robot. Its solution is to make an obstacle course to keep the monsters away from the baby until morning when they retreat. The dumb story, if you can call it that, isn't the only reason why I'm leaving a negative review. For me, the game isn't fun. You see, the zombies grow in number and power each night so you have to venture further underground to find resources and blueprints lest the baby become a zombie snack. The problem is the more time you spend exploring and gathering, the less time you have to build your obstacle course before nightfall. I found the increasing time constraints to be annoying rather than fun. I found myself wondering the whole time, "Why can't I move the cradle underground and build a concealed door? That would solve this whole problem". The only reason that makes sense to me is the robot is the dumbest AI in the universe.
It's ok but definitely not worth $20; get it on sale. Technically a 2D Tower Defense game. There is fun to be had in finding a base design that works for you, lots of options and flexibility. But some very questionable design choices concerning the mining/resource gathering you'll be doing a lot of underground. You might think that you would be splitting your time between topside and the mine; being topside during the nightly attack waves. You'd be wrong for the most part. The clock is always ticking (except for pauses during daylight to build/upgrade your base) and you will eventually realize that the game actively punishes you for being topside during attacks at all. That is precious time you could be spending downstairs gathering resources that you need. Now early on, maybe being topside in battle might be useful to scrape by some in-battle repairs between waves. But by day 30 or so of a 78 day campaign when you have enough resources to be well established, there is no good reason to be topside at all. Good defenses will require virtually no active maintenance at all aside from a swift repair visit come daylight. Your war effort is actually crippled by wasting time topside during attacks when you could otherwise still be mining. This means that to play "well", you must never waste time being up in your base during battle - which is really strange for a TD game. Watching mobs march through your death trap is kinda half the fun of a TD at all and here it is very strongly discouraged to do so. Expect two thirds of this game to be straight up Terraria mining, only the mines get very boring, very quickly. There is some mystery in "Is there a bottom to this mine?"; don't bet on it, even when you think you've found it. The game suffers greatly once your base is strong enough to need no night time tending. It then becomes an endless slog of dull mining that never ends. You might enjoy the constant drive to upgrade your traps, research new tech upgrades and feed the fires of industry driving your base forward. Once your base is strong though, those things will become pointless and boring. For me, that kicked in somewhere before day 40. Day 78 was far away and I stayed at it till 100 for the achievement. As for the story, I couldn't say. Cut scenes exist but I've never seen one because this game will not play them unless you are on a Win10 machine. My rig is an old Win7 but still plenty beefy enough to run demanding modern games. Encountering this limitation in such a humble title was quite a surprise but technically still my own fault for not checking the OS demands on the Store page. Do I think this title should have the capability to play simple cut scenes on Win7 machines? Yes, yes I do. Feels bad. Really, I'm on the edge of leaving a Negative Review but I DID enjoy most of the actual game play of base building, experimenting with different traps and setups, resource gathering and thirsting for the next tech upgrade. Fun was had but I have strong regrets.

I played less than 10 hours yet i really love this game. I start from "cons" of game - lack of story, yet begining is intriguing and feel like "WALL-E" for adult auditory, it leaves more questions since start and there still no answers of actual plot of story. Another "negative" moment - at first it's really hard to understand "Where? When? What?" but this part is quite easy to master , at least for me. Now let's talk 'bout big "YES" in game - graphics - it's quite nice looking game with really rich backgrounds and night time backgrounds is really eerie and creepy same time. But on other hands - enemies looks not so serious, more like ink-black childish drawings, but still dangerous. Music - it's nice, A really good ambient with some thrill-coming tunes at night. Sounds is okay - some of polishing work and bit more samples Now whole in one - gameplay. IT's addicting. It's really hard to stop when player start to dig-refine-build. Production schematics are quite understandable, mining and experience mechanics are quite nice. Building mechanics and devices is just something that really got my eye. In a simple 2d scape player able to build whole labyrints of chaotic death. There is dozens of dozens of "path schemes" and defence patterns and i bet they really make a nasty suprise for enemies. Pitfalls into spiked pit? Throwable flame barrels? A WALL OF IRON THROWING DOOM? Any of this and even more. Game still have lots of holes and stitches here and here but it's excuse - Early access state that yet feel somehow satisfying.
