Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 24.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 18.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Runs well, rich gameplay and mechanics, good pacing, difficulty, learning curve is tough at start but starting over feels rewarding, the more knowledge you get, the deeper you go. This game is polished, the sound design and musics are nice and the UI is BEAUTIFUL thanks 2d artists for this job, also game is fun !
Definitely not worth $20, wait for a sale and even then its a Mixed review Barony can be quite in-depth despite surface appearances, several classes that are flexible on your playthrough, a good amount of items and skills, art style is nice Unfortunately you probably wont get to experience a lot of it, you're going to get a lot of bad luck/cursed items, an unfortunate spawn with enemies right outside waiting or the absolute worst outcome-killed by a boulder A huge problem this game has is it's overabundance on the InstaKill Boulder trap, you WILL be forced to stare at the ceiling in search of those traps, THEY WILL END YOUR RUN IMMEDIATELY if they touch a hair on your body (this can be turned off in the Lobby Settings which IMO should be default until reworked) The NPC AI is rather buggy, your Allies will rush out of the room to kill whatever is nearby no matter how strong the monster is, this often leads them in getting killed if you don't intervene, or what's more annoying when an Ally blasts you with spells because a monster appeared and you were standing in their way It doesn't take long to see repitions in room layouts and the same items appearing frequently (which is to be expected at some point) There are no rewards for your efforts, nothing to unlock besides achievements Definitely better as a Co-Op game instead of Singleplayer Trying to have fun despite it's tough concept There just isnt enough to justify the $20

15 hours into Barony, I haven't beaten it yet, but it's definitely my favourite modern roguelike. It's a great translation of classic roguelike mechanics into first person 3D: there's plenty of systems in play here. Every item has some niche use and lots of them interact with the environment or enemies in a cool systemic way. Barony has a veil of simplicity about it: the combat is deceptively simple to begin with but gets quite intense and tactical as the game goes on and your character finds more items and abilities. You will be sniping enemies with magic, disarming traps, assassinating trolls, and straight up levitating over pits as the game goes on. You have to have your wits about you because around every corner could be an enemy that hard counters you or a devilishly placed trap. It's not an easy game. Multiplayer eases the load somewhat and is generally a great time. The game seems well supported by its developers, getting major content updates and DLC still a decade after its initial release on steam. The DLC is exclusively extra races and classes and basically costs about $1 per race (with an associated class). The DLC expects you to have played the base game's classes a bit so you have a good grasp on what mechanics have changed. I will update my review once I've played more race/class combinations and have completed the game.
Best dungeon crawler. Pros: Has a lot of replay value with various classes, races, and rogue like elements. Many options to adjusting the difficulty down to a player level even. Cons: Visually this game is lacking.
