I'm not really sure why I kept hearing about this game in random places lol. Maybe if you have kids get this on sale, but it was actually a little bit challenging for kids, and there are way better things you could be doing with your time. Maybe if you're really really good at schmups AND you have kids? That's the best I can do here...
Game has nice sound and art-style but also some serious issues with difficulty spikes. E.g. some very hard areas, where shooting enemys attack from behind. There are also some gameplay-elements that cause cheap deaths. The game is ok but I dont recommend it with these design-flaws.
Whether you are a fan of the Shoot em' up genre or just looking for something to play with your friends on a game night this is a nice game to play! This game has fast-paced action with varied level design that will keep you playing it until the end, Keep in mind that this is a short but sweet game (Just like the classics such a Gradius) although considering the price tag that's totally fair. Although good this game is not perfect, some times the game throws you mandatory dialogue between a stage or before a boss battle and don't get me wrong I love the characters and the great story they built here but once you want to replay this game or a stage it can become annoying, a skip button for those would be excellent. B.ARK is a really fun and lovely experience that is totally worth it ~ (I would love for this game to have something like a DLC that expands it with more levels and characters to play as or even a sequel!)
I didn't have any expectation toward the title but it's been a while since i've played the genre. The playthrough was good since i played with someone but everything else feels pretty standard. It's not a bad title but i feel like it's lacking a bit of depth and personality. Did i have fun playing it? Yes Will i play it again? No It is worth the price? it's short but it's under 15$. You be the judge. Do i recommend it? It really depends on what you like. If you like the genre... go ahead. if you don't... hard pass! Final advice, play co-op! Solo, not as fun.
Can we assign 1 keyboard for 2 players?
Fun game, hurt by text that disappears before my kids can read it, whilst concentrated on avoiding the many projectiles that one might expect in a bullet-hell game. Else, the opening cut-scene/cinematic can only be heard, but not seen; possibly the case for later cut-scenes, albeit we never made it that far. These issues both severely hurt any chance for immersion, as following the story becomes impossible. I've mentioned both issues in the form of a discussion thread and waited as long as I could for a response, just before becoming ineligible for a refund, all to no avail. Kids quite enjoyed the demo, so it's a shame the full game has such problems. If you'd just like to shoot some stuff, and enjoy it with wonderfully implemented local multiplayer (up to 4 players), then have at it… else, you'll maybe want to have a look to see if these issues have been patched, since my post (will update it, if/when, as I'm still following the game).
fun mostly unknown game
Tfw the game is cute and incredibly well-done but you're very bad at bullet hell
A great little shoot'em up. It's on the easier side with crisp and adorable graphics.
I am not a shooter (old school) gamer, but this, its super fun.
