Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I really cannot stand the npc team mates. I found Lae'zel to be the most tolerable of the NPCs, but the rest were all pretty insufferable and the npc side quests were pretty lame. It was also really annoying that all the npc team mates were constantly trying to have sex with you. I just want to play the adventure, I don't want to constantly be worried about getting banged by everyone. By Act 3 I was skipping most cut scenes and just trying to get the game over with. On the plus side I enjoyed the earlier acts and I also enjoyed how customizable the classes were for character and their npc team.

Same day: best CA #7, worst JP #58 · 14 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 12 climbed and 0 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 161.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 196.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
More Than a Game, an Adventure I Will Remember
Some games entertain you. Some games impress you. A very small number of games stay with you long after the credits roll. Baldur's Gate 3 belongs to that last category. After completing the game 100%, earning every achievement, and spending well over a hundred hours in the Forgotten Realms, I can honestly say that this has become one of the most memorable gaming experiences I have ever had. It's not simply one of the best RPGs I've played. It's one of those rare games that completely absorbs your attention, making it difficult to think about anything else while you're playing it.
A World That Reacts to You
One of the greatest strengths of Baldur's Gate 3 is the way it handles player choice. Many games advertise meaningful decisions, only for those choices to slightly alter a cutscene or determine which ending you receive. Here, choices constantly shape the journey itself. Conversations, relationships, quests, entire storylines, and even the fate of important characters can change depending on your actions. The result is a game that feels alive. You are never simply following a predetermined path. Instead, you feel as though you are creating your own story, one decision at a time. For the first time in a long time, I found myself genuinely thinking before making important choices because I knew they could have real consequences.
An Incredible Cast of Characters
A great RPG lives or dies by its companions, and Baldur's Gate 3 delivers some of the most memorable characters I've encountered in years. Each companion feels like a fully realized individual with their own goals, flaws, motivations, and personal struggles. Their stories evolve naturally throughout the adventure, making them feel like true members of your party rather than simple quest-givers. The relationships you build with them become one of the driving forces behind the entire experience. By the end of the game, they don't feel like NPCs anymore. They feel like companions you genuinely traveled with.
My Paladin's Journey
One of the things I loved most was the connection I developed with my own character. Throughout the entire adventure, I played as a Half-Elf Paladin, and over time he became much more than a collection of stats and abilities. His decisions became my decisions. His victories felt like my victories. His mistakes felt like my mistakes. I became so attached to this character that I ended up filling my Steam profile with screenshots documenting his journey. Looking back at those images now feels like revisiting moments from a long adventure shared with friends.
Honor Mode: The Ultimate Challenge
Among all the achievements, Honor Mode stands out as one of the most demanding challenges I've faced in recent years. Knowing that a single mistake could potentially destroy an entire run completely changes the way you approach the game. Every battle becomes meaningful. Every decision carries weight. Every victory feels earned. There were moments of tension, moments of frustration, and moments where everything seemed on the verge of collapse. But reaching the end was one of the most satisfying accomplishments I've experienced in gaming. The sense of achievement made every difficult moment worthwhile.
A Love Letter to Dungeons & Dragons
As someone who plays Dungeons & Dragons and spends time behind the Dungeon Master's screen, Baldur's Gate 3 felt particularly special. The game captures the spirit of a great tabletop campaign better than almost any adaptation I've ever seen. Creativity is constantly rewarded, unexpected solutions are encouraged, and the world reacts in ways that often feel remarkably similar to a real D&D session. Beyond simply entertaining me, the game also inspired many ideas for my own stories and adventures as a Dungeon Master. Few games have managed to influence my creativity in that way.
A New Standard for RPGs
Everything else is equally impressive. The writing is exceptional. The world is fascinating. The voice acting is outstanding. The soundtrack perfectly accompanies every moment. The freedom offered to the player is extraordinary. Most importantly, the game never stops surprising you. Even after dozens and dozens of hours, there is always another path to discover, another secret to uncover, or another consequence you never anticipated. Few games maintain that sense of wonder for so long.
Final Verdict
Baldur's Gate 3 is not merely one of the best RPGs I have ever played. It is one of the best games I have ever played, regardless of genre. It respects the player's intelligence, rewards curiosity, embraces creativity, and offers a level of freedom that many modern RPGs can only dream of achieving. This is the kind of game that reminds you why you fell in love with gaming in the first place.
A Final Personal Thought
When I finally unlocked the last achievement and realized my journey was over, my first thought wasn't satisfaction. It was: "Now what?" What do I play after this? How do I move on from a world that has occupied so much of my free time, my thoughts, and my enthusiasm for over a hundred hours? Thankfully, Steam's Summer Sale helped me discover some worthy alternatives. Otherwise, I suspect I would have spent days opening my library, looking for something to play, and immediately closing it again. For me, Baldur's Gate 3 is one of those rare games that leaves a small void when it ends. Not because it disappoints, but because it manages to become part of your daily routine for so long that saying goodbye feels strange. That feeling eventually fades. What remains are the memories. The adventures. The victories. The impossible choices. The companions. The stories. And I already know that years from now, those memories will still make me smile. For that, I can only be grateful.
I can understand that this is a fantastic game. Great characters, well written story, awesome soundtrack, strong graphics, and just a fantastic time all around. But the reason I do not recommend this game is simple: every single thing you do is essentially a dice roll. And let me tell you, when you have Guidance, Deft hands, dexterity, and like 2 other things to give you a bonus and STILL fail 4 rolls to pick a 15 skill lock...... understand the game is the epitome of a gamble. While I also understand that's a facet of DnD as a whole, it is an aspect I cannot stand in this game. It seems to go out of its way to push your use of Inspiration if you've had 4 for too long. Or to ensure your roll fails if you're skipping dialogue. I understand that the program is exactly that, a program. It randomly generates your roll. But it somehow feels malicious in some cases. Look, if you're not gonna mind the constant gamble of everything you do outside of walking or are a DnD player yourself, this game is going to be one of the best RPG's you play. However, if you're anything like me and hate the randomness of your rolls even if you have all the advantages in the world, then do not get this game.
