Badlands Crew - Drive, Command, Conquer

it's fun, it's unique, i wish there was a mmo version with much bigger vehicles run by multiple players - but bomber crew was somehow more fun, more challenge, more thrill. i hope they find a way to make their next project match it all, they're on a great trajectory to do so :3 that being said i wonder much what might be next...? submarine crew? piracy crew? mafia crew? wild west caravan crew? the possibilities are sheer endless :D

Another great addition to the Crew games by Runner Duck, really enjoyed it. There's something very satisfying about selecting and equipping your team, building their vehicle then sending them out on missions, collecting more resources and blueprints, getting them all home, modifying your build then sending them out again. There's a huge amount of crew, vehicle and weapon customisation. The beginning is hard as your crew and vehicle are very weak, but the final pay off is great- you have super strong build that you can dominate the badlands with. There are only a few negatives: 1- the gameplay loop gets very repetitive, and I particularly felt this in this game as it feels longer than the previous titles. I completed about 80% of the game then got bored and stopped playing, only coming back to it a few months later as I hate not completing games. I did eventually complete it after a total of 68 hours. I think if it were completable in ~50 hours that would have been perfect. 2- poor performance on a 4k ultrawide monitor. I upgraded my monitor before coming back to the game and I noticed significantly worse performance during the missions. At 4k I was getting about 20-30 fps (variable). I lowered the resolution to 2560x1080 and got about 35-45fps which helped (again variable), but I felt a game with such simple graphics should run much better on a Nvidia rtx 5070. After doing some reading it seems the low framerate is primarily due to the Unity engine. Overall great game, really enjoyed it and cannot wait for the next game from this Studio. I really hope they make Bomber Crew 2...
