Listen, don't pass on this game. Get a group of 5 friends who enjoy spooky horror type games. This is actually a TREMENDOUSLY simple and SUUUUUPER fun multiplayer game. The player who plays the mannequins has a bunch of strategies they can use to get players and it's fun every single time. We played for 3 hours straight and had a blast the whole time. The game is great. If you play 1v1 you don't have to worry as much, but if you play 4v1 in a max lobby just know that if you DIE you become a mannequin so you could be facing up to 4 mannequins vs 1 player so it definitely pays to move quickly and keep your team alive. Overall I think it's balanced for fun, but definitely I believe that they would need to tune it to be slightly more in favor of the mannequins as people get better at the game cause you have to start being REALLY sneaky with how you get kills by hiding around corners or boxing people in. Once you get that first kill it sometimes snowballs with larger lobbies but it's fun and rounds may only last 3 - 5 minutes or can be 10 minutes plus depending on how good at hiding you are. My recommendation to the dev after playing for 3 straight hours: 1. Have either a notification to other players once the gate has opened or some kind of other sign so they know. 2. Let players who escape spectate other alive players so you can watch what's happening. 3. You need microhpone settings in the game. 4. Mannequin needs a microphone button. I didn't realize people could hear me the whole time. 5. Level should have a randomized layout if possible. 6. Mannequins should either go from moving to frozen when looked at gradually or there should be some way that they have maybe just a LITTLE bit of time to attack when looked at. It's hard to get a kill around a corner because your ability to kill is turned off the second they come around it and see you, so if you had just a half second or a second of kill ability, that would help them. 7. There is currently a bug where if you crouch as a survivor, you cannot be killed by a mannequin at all. Definitely need to patch this. 8. Multi-story or larger maps. Right now it was getting really quick for us to find all of the switches and get out. Also, if you made the switches locked behind a simple puzzle that may help to slow the game down just a touch instead of being able to pick them up right away. An idea could be that they need to enter in a series of arrows maybe on a lock pad, but it makes a sound so a mannequin would have a slightly better time knowing about where people were. We found that if you're extremely sneaky it makes it VERY hard for mannequins to find you. 9. Even though it may add clutter, I think you should add more mannequins around the stage so it's harder to tell which ones are player possessed and which are normal. TL;DR - this game is great, definitely buy it
This game was a ton of fun with friends. Equally challenging and thrilling as a survivor or a mannequin hunting. The mannequins have a fun ability of teleporting to different locations if you have a mannequin in that locale to kind of lay in wait. The game loop can be quick, and after you learn the basics, everyone has a fair shot at winning. There's definitely potential in this game with a few minor fixes along the way. A couple fixes I would request 1. A way to select and tune your mic for the in-game mic purposes. It was hard to figure out how to use windows menus to select the mic that the game would choose. Also good to be able to lower or raise other people's volumes. 2. Different things aside from the shelves to find the switch pieces 3. fix the bug where players can't be killed if they're crouched. 4. increase mannequin speed just a small bit. 5. give a solo survivor a different way to escape rather than the main exit. VERY helpful when there are three mannequins and they just surround the single exit. 6. Maybe give player name indicators to the survivors? All that being said I had fun and can't wait to revisit the game again with a bunch of friends and a full lobby. Great job by these devs.
Nice little game to mess around in with a group of friends! Super fun, so for the price it's currently at I definitely recommend giving this a try :)
This game was fun! game DESPERATELY needs an audio slider for each player! some people were SUPER LOUD to the point they were crackling and painful to listen to, and some were the perfect volume. Friends and I found some bugs, but overall a very fun experience! Look forward to more maps, but I do think the simplicity of the game is where it shines. Adding perks or items may greatly impact the balance. It may be more fun if the mannequins slow to a VERY slow crawl instead of stopping altogether. Once we got the hang of the game, it became a lot easier to win the match as a suit assuming you could coordinate with at least one other person. Bugs: -mannequins cannot kill you when you are crouched -When you are crouched in a corner and a mannequin comes at you, they can trap you in the corner and unposses that mannequin, leaving you stranded and unable to escape the corner -sometimes when you died, your corpse would spend a few moments sliding across the floor at your control as if you were still alive.
Fun game has potential for more
Amazing game, been playing it in development with DanTheDev, got to see the game evolve from a small project to a working scary, fun, puzzle type backrooms game. There are NPCs so you can play by yourself, I've done many runs and each time it does not get any easier. I will be streaming this here and there on twitch, check me out!
This is actually super terrifying and fun and recommend buying and supporting so more updates can come
Very fun game with friends.
Es aun peor que backrooms : aprehension y eso es decir mucho.
