This is a neat little puzzle game, no nostalgia for Kula World or PSX necessary. It is very WYSIWYG, you roll, jump, and invert gravity through 8 worlds of levels each one introducing some new gimmick. Took me 15 hours to 100% (not anymore since they've updated the game with extra levels). If your spatial awareness doesn't suck you probably can do it in 10. Levels could use par time to beat, otherwise the timer is rather pointless. Although the game looks like it'd be fun to speedrun.
I'm glad this exists, I also have an attachment to the PS1 game "Roll Away" or "Kula World", and this is basically like that, but way less stressful!
I came from the old Kula WOrld to the modern vapourwave times.
well good. genuinely 10/10
playing w kula world soundtrack in bg i love you
A lovely little game. I still love vaporwave years after it seems to have fallen out of fashion, so I'm always happy to see a game that lets me indulge in sad, melting, capitalism-flavored nostalgia. The puzzles are a lot of fun too. If I could add two options to the game, I'd pick "turn the timer visual off" (it kills my vibe when I just wanna chill and think things through) and "VHS filter like the dope one in the trailer." But those are just selfish things I'm putting here in case the developer sees this and wants to indulge a silly old man. ;-)
Such a great game! Flawless in execution and perfect for chilling to challenging, mind-bending 3D navigation puzzles while listening to podcasts or audiobooks (and the great soundtrack). Everyone who loved Kula World back in the day needs to buy this.
The minimalistic aesthetic, the mind-bending puzzles, and the vaporware soundtrack all blend in to resurrect one of the most iconic puzzle game ever straight from your memory. I wish the camera controls got modernized a bit, though - being locked into a top-down camera, with limited "look up" and "look down" options feel somewhat claustrophobic in a 2025 release, especially for a game that really puts your spatial ability to the test. That being said, it's a great puzzle game with tons of difficult puzzles. Whether you are nostalgic for the Kula World experience, or never got to play it but are interested in a comfy but challenging puzzle game with a godly soundtrack, I really recommend this game.
If you liked Kula World on the PlayStation 1, this game will take you back in time. It captures the feeling of the original game and expands on it.
One of the first puzzle games I played as a kid was "Roll away" in PS1 and been in love ever since with this kind of games. This game is a perfect homage and so nostalgic to me. Thank you so much for creating it. Not sure how many levels it has but I home is dozens!
