I love this game and Militia 2 too. This two are pure tactics and strategy, without any distraction. And much less time consuming, than classic tactical or strategic turn based games.
A solid digital tabletop game and easily one of my favorites on here. Hurts my brain after a few rounds, but I'll take that as a good thing. Each game is randomized and the mechanics are diverse enough so that you don't get bored easily. This is a refreshing take on the town building genre too. I highly recommend this game if you like a challenge and board games. This runs perfect on Linux with Proton Experimental.
Dispite is simple graphics this game is challenging and fun. I feel it takes me away from the dulldrum of many other games. It's addictive too. Brain Good games has other games too that are fun.
Brainbad game: This f*cking garbage is unplayable. You never get reproduce dice. Only the guy in the explain video magically spawns them in. Great! Gatherers are damn useless. You only get builder dice when you get a reroll card. Food is useless since it disappears from you stockpile when you end your turn. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I think its an ok/good? game. really challenges your planning ahead with tactics and strategy. yet it fails in the RNG portion. The RNG is; What do my dice land on! Can I get the most out of them each time. I think the hard one is "reproducing" this sacrifices so many Dice! you always start with 8 dice. reproducing costs 4. so half of your dice are gone in a single turn. Oh by the way your timed. you only have so many turns to complete the objectives to get VP. if you can't its game over, start over and hope RNG favors you. The strategy is really good, yet it fails when your strategy falls apart when your Dice RNG is not good. My luck is atrociously bad. a Math friend calculated my luck in a single game, and it came out to .00003% chance for this to happen and it happened to me LOL. I can barely get to level 6 and fail repeatedly. Like I said it's an ok/good game. If you have better luck then me you will probably enjoy this game.
This game does not work. I cannot get past the tutorial, it simply does not work. I gave it a second try and was met with numerous bugs and game freezes. Ignoring that the core gameplay seems boring and needlessly tedious. I would not recommend this game for free let alone ten bucks. Look at the 20 percent achievement of tutorial completion, that should tell you something. I love strategy, I love board games, I love 4x and this game fails everything. Annoying sounds and music, ugly UI and buggy to all hell. Not one likeable thing.
This is a fun game it just gets way too challenging to quickly. I got to level 10 and then it all falls apart. It is too punitive because every time you loose you go back a level. Great idea. Too hard...
One of my favorite BrainGoodGames, which is saying a lot, since I really enjoy all of them. This is a great dice manipulation game with a lot of replayability.
Well designed game
Simple, but nicely done. Levels build nicely, and you can reset to a lower level when you feel the difficulty has gone too high. I come back to it periodically.
