Wirklich tolles, liebevoll gestaltetes Spiel.
Probably, but only If the game is free (or included in a package) or less than $2. Its a good quick fun game with some interesting (although now outdated) concepts. Otherwise I wouldn't. Game is pretty basic and doesn't offer much. I only played it b/c its been in my library for 15 years and I figured I'd try it out. Game is janky on high refresh rate monitors which makes some mini-game stages impossible unless you change the refresh rate down to 60hz or less.
Apart from that 1 puzzle where you have to set your refresh rate to 60hz, it's pretty decent.
Very entertaining and enjoyable. Check it out.
It's a really bizarre and quirky point & click adventure with an equally peculiar aesthetic to match; as if the developers kinda cut and pasted their simple graphics onto photos of a weird Tolkein landscape from some obscure magazine. Strange. Maybe best played while under the influence of something just a little stronger than alcohol.
I found this game many years ago perusing the xbox arcade, and the atmosphere and world of Axel and Pixel filled me with childlike wonder. On a whim I remembered it again and went to see if I could find it here, and sure enough, I bagged it on sale. Unfortunately, because of how advanced my system is for the game, I got stuck at a part that won't work properly and am unable to progress. It's a shame because I really wanted to give it a fair chance, the character designs are charming and the music and art direction is very pleasant and relaxing. I always felt Axel and Pixel had the potential for an interesting point and click adventure series, alas, the studio behind this game are no longer around. Farewell, Silver Wish games.
