Great sandbox game and an amazing starter for anyone just getting into Aviation. Easy to pickup and very entertaining making wacky plane designs to get you through the campaign

This is an awesome game for people who love planes and open world build your own vehicle style games. The building system is intuitive and satisfying to use, while still allowing for a surprising amount of detail and creativity. The plane handling is very easy to grasp, and it’s a lot easier for beginners to figure out compared to a more advanced plane building game. An advanced understanding of aerodynamics will still reward you with enhanced handling though, so it’s great for newcomers or advanced users. The game loop and grind is solid, although it does suffer from a certain amount of transportation simulator trope, get used to flying back and forth to the same places over and over. The graphics are low poly and stylized, but it feels right in its place and does not feel like it lacks necessary detail. The map design is great, and the world is comprehensive and beautiful. Overall this game is a great experience for people new to the genre, or experienced plane builders.

I found this game because my daughter asked to me find a "flying game where you take passengers to other places." This is as close to that as I could find, and I think I've played it more than she has. The physics are very much on the arcade side of things, the missions are interesting but there really aren't enough of them, the map feels way too small once you get to jets, and I had to use a keyboard to controller mapper just to get my controller to work properly (this game is begging for joystick support). These are all nitpicks though, because it's so much fun to just fly the planes. It feels fantastic to pick up a heavy load, barely get off the ground, get to the destination on fumes, and land without breaking your wheels off. Then you open the plane editor to see if you can do it better. I absolutely recommend this game, quirks and all.
