Unfortunately I am a Firelord Azula main, but she do be sick. Right now it's good, and I hope it stays that way with the roadmap that's being promised. If they release everything that needs to be released, I'll be happy. But it's still F Paramount for rushing this game. The devs didn't deserve this. They're very lucky they managed to make a very fun game that our community very much enjoys. Otherwise this would not fly under normal circumstances.
Most things that fighting games have done in the past 15 years, this game does not do. If you are a veteran fighting game player or simply someone who enjoys competitive fighting games from decades prior, this is the game to play right now. There is depth, execution, unique interactions, and plenty of new things you will see every time you play. It feels like the mechanics were placed purposefully, but not in a way where each moment feels intentional. This might be the best fighting game to come out in over a decade.

I wish the team were given enough time to complete the game before release but what we have here is fantastic. Most fun I've had in a FG since Centralfiction and it may yet overtake even that. Very refreshing from the throw loop purgatory of SF6. One bit of underappreciated praise, the story is really fun. It ain't Shakespeare but the humor is just like the source material's and the characters all act like themselves even when they're "not themselves" due to the alternate world plot setup. PRAYING on this game's success, games like this are hard to come by these days.
First of all, the price. $40 is a lot. Then we have the story mode, which feels extremely random when it comes to difficulty. One fight is super easy, while the next one requires you to abuse the AI just to get through it. The overall quality of the story mode is pretty low. I could understand that if the price was lower, but it isn't. Then you get into multiplayer after finishing the story. I get that I'm not a pro, but people are sitting in lobbies and seriously sweating over this game. I have a hard time pressing six buttons at the same time just to activate an ultimate (which is stupid, by the way). Even pressing five buttons to use a spender is challenging for me. Meanwhile, these guys are hitting everything perfectly, pulling off insane combos, and blocking practically every hit with perfect timing. So I do not recommend this title unless you can get it at a huge discount. Low-quality campaign. Unplayable multiplayer.
plot twist, the cabbage guy is evil. peek story.
I think this made me want to Get Into Fighting Games (tm). PS: you're gonna need a controller, I have no idea how people play fighting games in general without one, that's insane to me.
