Avalanche 2: Super Avalanche

This has to be one of the most underrated games on steam. I first played this back in 2015 because northernlion did a video on this. I recently returned to the game to get every single achievement and it has been a blast back then and still is today. It is such a simple game, your only goal is to climb as high as you can. However falling blocks, hordes of enemies and bosses make your life hard. To help you on your journey to the top the game provides plenty of varied powerups, most of them improve your mobility but there are also defensive and economy based powerups and of course familiars. The best part about the game is how good the movement feels, at first you start out a little slow and clumsy but as you keep climbing and get some meta-unlocks you eventually start soaring through the air moreso than jumping from block to block. The game rewards you for a risky playstyle, if you combo-kill enemies and surf on platforms you get more coins and as a result of that you can afford more powerups which leads to better runs. Getting 100% achievements in this game is fun, the only annoying achievement is to get burned by lava 50 times which means you have to die intentionally for about 10 minutes to unlock it.

This random steam key could have been any triple A game, but instead it's Avalanche 2... I'm not disappointed

This is a really fun time waster that I picked up during the steam summer sale for $.50 and while it is a fun time I don't think it's worth $5, maybe around $2-$3.

This climbing platformer is cute and fun for a few minutes, but plays like a flash game or an arcade game from 20 years ago. Doesn't do much to keep your attention for long.

I honestly need to come back to this one and try to get farther in it. I had a ton of fun, but life got in the way. If you enjoy platformers with upgrades that can kinda kick your buns in, you're likely going to be enjoying this game for a hot minute.

Cheap and fast action with extremely tight controls. Great for muting and listening to some podcast or audiobook; I cherish these kinds of games. The progression can be totally finished within- I did it in 5-ish hours- really no time at all, which does take the steam out of jumping a little bit. But, once you get used to not making any extrinsic progress, and accept that most of your time with the game will be jumping for jumping's sake, it is more than serviceable as a distraction for your hands.

Its pretty good if you like endless climbers
