From the reviews and videos I saw online, this game looked amazing, and it is, but it does not connect to certain wheels. I have the PXN V99 wheel, and it does not register my wheel, so I cannot play the game. For new users - be ware, the game does not register not-so-known wheel brands like PXN. I am so disappointed because the game looks so good yet I cannot unfortunately not play it.
Pitiful! Now with licensed F1 cars leaving this game players will stay with Formula XXX Gen YYY Model ZZZ fake generic content.
After looking for a sim racer like Iracing that doesn't murder my wallet i stumbled upon AMS2 and AMS2 is better in every way i can think of except player base and match making. This game is actually stunning it can be played on wheel or controller and after my wheel broke that was a huge + for me because i cant afford a new one. If they were ever able to bring this game to console and add cross platform it would save this games player base. Not to mention the game is only $40 and you dont need to pay for cars or DLCs to have fun. Overall i believe AMS2 needs more attention for how well they do sim racing and for how cheap it is.
если хотите в соло покатать по трассам на авто что нра - отлично) если же онлайн нужен, наверное вам в другой автосим. фбб мне тут нравится больше чем в лму
one of the best singleplayer racing and VR experiences money can buy 100/10
Automobilista 2 is in my opinion one of the best modern sims out at the moment when it comes to a single player experience on a modern sim, despite the fact that the career mode has not been released yet. The AI is pretty good and can give great battles for position, they are very fun to race overall. However there is still room for improvement and Reiza has been updating the AI. They struggle mainly with pit-stops and have a little bit of trouble with traffic, their biggest issues are apparent on ovals. Fortunately, their pitstop and lapped traffic woes doesn't sour the experience too much on road courses. The driving feels realistic enough and many of the categories are fun to drive in. Going without a wheel isn't too bad since AMS2 can be pretty friendly on a gamepad. Some of the car sounds are simply INCREDIBLE too. Graphics are great with some good attention to detail. The VR mode for this game is phenomenal as well. This even performs well on a steam deck. The multiplayer is one thing that Automobilista 2 struggles with at the moment, it is far from the best state. Accounting for the base game, there is a lot of variety without DLC, from Brazilian grassroots racing to a plethora of formula cars, prototypes, GT cars, go-karts, many more available base game. One category I recommend heavily from the base game is the GT1 cars, they're a blast to drive and race, I have had one of the most fun times I've had in any sim while racing them. I encourage to wait around for DLC to go on sale before buying any, as there are a lot of DLCs to choose from. The one DLC I recommend the most is the historical endurance pack (more GT1 cars and a lot more from the mid-00s, they sound great too, the sound from the BMW M3 GTR in particular is pure car porn.) but most of the DLCs are well worth getting on sale. All of this leads to why I have Automobilista 2 as my favorite modern sim. Mainly due to its vast variety and strong single player experience. I can't stress enough, race the the GT1 cars. They're a blast!!!
I really want to enjoy this game but right now I simply can't. The AI is terrible compared to other games. They follow each other in a straight line and are either way too fast or just flat out unaware of you. The cars feel way too slippery and lack the feeling of weight you get in other sims. The amount of variety is nice, but its more or less one mile wide and an inch deep in terms of depth. The devs need to focus in on the historic driving aspect since you don't get that with many other sims. The newest update introduced updated physics for some classes and for those classes, its a decent time. Everything else feels like you're driving on dirt or ice and oversteer is nearly impossible to correct or notice until it's too late. As of the time of this review I've had very few decent races which we're not ended because of crappy AI. I'd call this review mixed since its not awful, just unpolished and I don't understand all the praise it gets.
I've been playing this sim for over a year now and I'm loving the variety of cars and the vast number they have. There are so many tracks available, some I've never heard of. The online racing has been a mixed bag as with most online racers. Sometimes you will take part in a race with a bunch of new racers that unintentionally knock you off the road and in some cases you run into racers that just want to knock you off the track if you beat them around a corner. Recently I've been fortunate to have racers at least 5 consecutive races that consisted of respectful drivers. I've tried Assetto Corsa, iRacing I used to play Gran turismo since 1997 and played Forza Motorsport since number 3. So far I'm committed to playing AMS2 only for my racing needs. Great visuals, great sound effects and cars provide great feedback!
лучший автосим за свою цену
it is my fav racing sim ever, no game has beaten it yet, some like le mans or asseto corsa have gotten close but there is just something about this game I don't know what it is, there's a lot of content in the base game but then the dlc's really open it up and add so much cool stuff, I have spent more money then I would like to admit on just dlc's alone BUT it is pretty fun, I think what got me was the fact it isn't stuck to one type of racing, You can do endurance, oval, formula and even truck racing for some reason. THAT'S what makes this game amazing. Very good 10/10 (I really want the devs to add Can-Am cars... I can't wait)
