ranked beat saber player here this game began by picking a random incorrect room direction and offered no way to fix room rotation. the game offers no customizations of any kind to switch the colors of left and right, annoying anyone who has played beat saber or has been on a boat or airplane, so there is no way to switch them back or use different colors or you are colorblind. this sin might be forgivable, but they have committed an even bigger sin of not registering hits that you are not directly looking at, which is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid for a VR game and removes any chance this game had for competitive play. about half the spheres come from directly overhead and none from below, resulting in you having to have your neck in uncomfortable positions for a long time, which is annoying. additionally, the number of songs they have to play are pretty minimal, and they have resorted to searching your computer for content instead. this game is barely worth the $5 sale price, and you should definitely avoid buying this game at full price for $20. there are so many better games out there, go play those instead

The first VR game I ever played. Spent so long trying it out on the demo set up that the electronics store kicked me out. 10/10 would be embarrassed by the retail workers again.
Trust me, you will sweat, you will need to... acquire your music, but it is worth every minute.
2023 Review:
This game has not been updated in a LONG time (Last update: 13 Sept. 2019) No longer has Youtube support Is rather clunky in both game and menus --- I would recommend going with Osu!, AudioSurf (non-VR) or Beat Saber (VR).
A classic.
Top. Allows you to use your own music library
fairly boring type of game, i dont like beat saber either, rythem games are not my thing, not sure why others like them... just feels like fly swatting with out the flys...
I've sank in some hours but I can only vouch for vanilla Elite mode. Map is great for some songs but not all. You need songs that the algorithm can create an interesting map. As for the discontinuation of Youtube support, it was nice to have but I think it is more about enjoying the songs without worrying about the ranking. (I joined before Youtube support was discontinued) Defo recommend if it is on sale as it is sorta outdated and not main-stream. I hope you find songs you like and mapped well!
