Dakar Desert Rally

Absolutely the worst co-driver in any rally game I've ever played. The co-driver calls are unbelievably late. It's not a great experience to be told to turn onto traces several seconds after I've driven past the traces, or for the calls to be so late that it's telling me to keep right at the LAST fork as I go zooming through a fork where I need to keep left. There are numerous landmark errors as well. "Between rocks" when there are no rocks present, etc. Given the importance of co-driver calls to rally racing, it makes the game basically unplayable.

It's not as bad as people say but I got it on sale and I'm still requesting a refund.

How can I refund this piece of crap after a year broken broken broken do not buy.

Great Game. Very detailed maps,impectable detail. One warning is that many computers will not be able to handle the detailed graphics. I tunned my computer and was able to get 165 FPS with less than 80 % GPU usage(Mangohud). Past 80 % GPU usage the game crashed.

Absolutely stunning game. One of the very unique gems found in the Steam store. The visuals are stunning, with 5-10 camera modes, bikes, quads, trucks, cars, and more. The maps are huge, with a free roam, campaign, co-op, and championship modes as well, that all work. It has an open world mode where you can test drive any vehicle and go on any map. I highly recommend this to any person that likes these kinds of games.

Después de 400 horas jugadas, he de decir que es el mejor juego de Rally Dakar. Cierto que siempre salía "fatal error" hasta que descubrí que, creando un acceso directo, forzando DirectX 11 y la compatibilidad con Windows 8, no da ningún "fatal error" (solo cuando cierro el juego, pero ya qué más da). Dejé de jugar, pero llevo tantas horas acumuladas por la creación de un mod: elimina el granulado del parabrisas delantero y he modificado las físicas intentando recrear movimientos más cercanos a la simulación. Con este mod, los coches, SxS y camiones tienen un limitador que antes no existía, pero cuidado: cuesta abajo toca frenar, no he podido mejorarlo más. El mundo es inmenso y el modo simulación es perfecto gracias a mi mod; ahora ya no te desmoralizas por hacerlo bien y encima quedar último, ahora es más fácil llegar a posicionarse mejor. A día de hoy, el juego ya no merece el mal posicionamiento que tiene. Estoy luchando junto a Emicarrara para crear este mod para que nos dé muchos años de diversión; la comunidad le ha dado la vuelta al desastroso lanzamiento. Con el mod hemos conseguido la estabilidad y la ilusión de que, por fin, tenemos un juego que es jugable al 100 por 100., para encontrar el mod buscar en internet RAGACHO56

I actually enjoy the game so much, but after a few hours suddenly there's a pop up that read "fatal error" and the game crash to desktop, after some hours trying to look for a solution online I didn't find any that work on my pc and I decide to refund it, it's such a shame that I heard there will be no patch for this game in the future, I really like the game tho. :( (sorry if my grammar is so bad)

Great and beautiful game. Very similar to what a real Dakar Rally would be. The games crashes all the time, usually in the window before starting the stages. Besides that if you buy it on a huge discount it is worth every penny. I wish the could fix every issue and release a new version of this.

Das Spiel ist halt so gut wie Tod., Ganz ehrlich: Was habe ich in 2026 von einem 4-Jahre altem Spiel erwartet? Klar, gibt es Spiele wie Minecraft, Cyberpunk oder GTA 5, die sich seit fast 20 Jahren halten, doch auch kleinere, unbekanntere Indi-Perlen wie Hollow Knight sind nach vielen Jahren immer noch eine Peak-Experience. So halt leider nicht Dakar: Desert Rally. An sich ist das Game spaßig, und kann einem die ein oder andere Stunde Spaß bereiten, aber die Kritikpunkte überlappen einfach die Positiven Argumente. 1. Der Preis Auch wenn der Preis regelmäßig im Sale gut fällt (aktuell im Summer Sale waren es 9,99€ für die Deluxe Ed.) ist der ursprüngliche Preis einfach viel zu hoch. Die 20€ regulär für die Deluxe Edition ist mehr, als aktuell starke AAA-Games verlangen, ohne spielerisch echten Mehrwert zu bieten. Ich habe das Game von einem Freund geschenkt bekommen, und muss ehrlich zugeben: Ich hätte dafür maximal 5€ für die Deluxe Ed. bezahlt. 2. Die Physik Der Größte Kritikpunkt ist aber die Physik. Naja, wass soll ich sagen? Die ist echt schrecklich. Du hast einen 1m-großen Stein? Tod. Du hast einen Ast? Tod. Du springst vom Grand Canyon ins Tal? Lebendig. Ehrlich gesagt gibt es schlechtere Physiken, keine Frage, aber die sind hier auch nicht so berauschend. Das kann einserseits zu lustigen Momenten führen (wie als ich wie erwähnt vom Rande ins Tal des Grand Canyon gefallen bin) andererseits kann es aber auch echt Frustrierend sein. Fazit: Also wem epfehle ich "Dakar: Desert Rally" (2022) jetzt? Ehrlich gesagt nur Leuten, die die echte Dakar feiern und einfach entspannt durch die Gegend düsen möchten. Denn das Gefühl, Kopfhörer aufzuziehen, fett Musik anzuschmeißen und durch die Wüste zu brettern ist schon echt cool. Leuten, die ein deepes Gameplay, eine wirkliche Herausforderung und hunderte Stunden Content suchen, empfehle ich das Spiel nicht. Ich persönlich hatte meinen Spaß, habe es wie gesagt aber auch kostenlos von einem Freund geschenkt bekommen.
