This game was awesome, and had so much more potential. Devs gave up and walked away from it I guess. Official servers are closed. They shouldn't be allowed to keep selling it at this point, it should be free. But man I wish they'd pick it back up and bring this game back it was so much fun. Better than Ark
can officially say game is abandoned, do not buy this game even on sale servers barely work. atlas used to be the goto pirate game where me and the homies used to be online drinking rum and spending the next couple of hours building and gathering recources to build our ship and then finally sailing to one side to the other was a whole couple of hours but worth it as we would get shipsick feinding for the next island to explore. we all had fun while it lasted.
This game is no longer supported by the developers and is considered an Abandoned Game. Unless you are a PC Player and can find "Un-Official" Servers you will not most likely be happy. It was a good game and had much potential but they left it for Ark.
Дохлая игра от некомпетентных разработчиков которые болт ложили на игру и на игроков, последнее обновление было в 23 году, ни в коем разе не покупайте данный шлак
The fact that they still sell this game in the end of 2025 is a bit revolting. Game had potential but will never be a final product. Single player is very wonky, tethering very buggy and the game needs too many servers to host a private environment. Had fun with it, but with all the broken features and bugs, this game sadly needs to be put to rest now. R.I.P. Atlas.
Find a good Private server since the Devs of this game failed it and stopped development. Many Private servers continue development and make their own mods for the game. Check out the RadioActive Atlas server. They even have their own shop to buy stuff that goes towards keeping the server up. It is not ptw. They have added so much more content and more animals.
Steam needs to get on these companies for selling broken games. Solo is unplayable due to so many fatal errors, boats disappear when zoning from one part of the map to another. You loose days of work building a boat and POOF, its gone. I'm sure it would only take one person to fix even if it is a while. SUPPORT YOUR GAMES!!!! 4 ships have been lost to date. Crew, tames, gold and all aboard. so it may even be more than days. It is a really fun game and it would get a good review from me IF AND ONLY IF the problems were gone. The new GPU cards can not handle Unreal Engine 4's slow style of file management it seems. There has to be a fix or Steam needs to give game makers an ultimatum. Fix it or take it off the market for future sales. HOW CAN YOU SELL BROKEN STUFF LEGALLY???? One of these days a class action suit might catch up with steam and the game makers for this exact reason. Not fair for a consumer and now with their new policies of returning items its almost impossible to return. Bad business practices for both companies.
Wonderful game, but first the developers ruined it and then they abandoned it.
The devs used this game for a quick cash grab & then abandoned it. Still in early access after 8 years. Game is full of bugs, the player base is pretty much non-existent, and the likelihood of an update or a 2nd game is little to none. You want a pirate game? Go buy Windrose.
Деньги собрали и забросили игру, хотя потенциал был неплоохой
