one of the best match-3 games I've played. while creating matches lacks a certain 'impact' you get from certain other titles, the fact that you can switch between 3 different matching modes on the fly makes it a lot of fun, coupled with the 6 powerups you can use. I would've liked to use them more, but they're not that common, nor always easy to activate.
while there's a timer, it only makes a difference in the number of stars you get for a level, which has nothing to do with anything, and you don't even need to 3-star all of them to get the relevant achievements, if you're into that. the hidden object scenes are very few and far between and beyond trivial, so they're not in the way either, and you can also skip them.
I liked some of the writing and the presentation, though [b]atlantic quest solitaire[/b] had a more cartoony look. too bad the first and third games aren't available on steam, though maybe the latter will appear at some point, while the former was deemed by the developer to be too outdated to bring here.
