Game is pretty fun, you are constantly active during gameplay with very little downtime between action. Progression is quick, you are awarded a generous amount of "Plat" to permanently upgrade yourself after each level. My only real issue is that half of the permanent upgrades you can buy don't feel very impactful, and so in prioritising the ones that benefited me the most, i had reached the power ceiling before even finishing the the normal difficulty of each level, which leaves very little motivaton for me to keep going on the harder difficulties, as there is no promise of reward or getting stronger.

Has a pretty low ceiling and not a lot of variety for a modern rogue-like; you can see pretty much all of what the game has to offer in only a few hours. You can't build a whole lot of towers so you'll have to do a lot of shooting things yourself, but if you don't look at it as a tower defense game then that's fine. What's here is really good. Definitely worth picking up in a sale. I'd love to see more content such as harder levels with the ability to build more towers and upgrade weapons multiple times. Overall the balance of the game is a little weird. Some weapons are clearly better than others and certain power-ups are totally useless, but the game overall is a lot of fun.
Entertaining horde-shooter and tower defense hybrid with roguelike upgrade system (stages aren't random). If you're on the fence, you can finish a handful of runs in the 2 hour refund period, but you can't complete the game in 2 hours as there's too many stages for that. That, and you'll probably hit a brick wall of difficulty as you really need those upgrades. There's a lot of stuff to unlock: weapons, buildings, and playstyle modifiers. At the end of a stage you get a currency with which you can buy permanent upgrades. The gameplay modifiers you can unlock are very impactful, and fun to mess around with. Once you know which upgrades to get, you can create some silly combinations which completely destroy everything in a general direction, though at some point enemies will start flying, from multiple directions at once, in increasingly greater numbers and some will start shooting back at you. The trailer featured bosses; I haven't seen them yet and I'm on stage 7... There's a fair bit of resource management involved: you need to mine for either metal or exp. You need metal for building defenses, upgrading said defenses, buying powerups and repairing them and your module (the thing you're defending). You need exp to improve yourself in some way, choosing from a powerup, a weapon or a stat up. Knowing what to get at which point in a run is key. Presentation is in low-poly style graphics. Enemies have distinct looks and creative designs. Sound design is decent, the music is fitting. There's a few issues with the game though, like random crashes (had 2 so far) and game balance (not all level upgrades are created equal). As the game has just been released for a month, I'd say let it cook a bit longer if you're concerned about the crashes. I think they're manageable as the chances of one happening are slim, and runs aren't very long.
This is a very fun game, I 100% recommend this if you are fans of waved based combat. I am also a fan of the adopted ps1 graphic style I can find little wrong with it, if I had any criticism, it would be that it is quite hard early game, or that could just be a big skill issue on my part! Here is my First Impressions video, as always this is just my opinions https://youtu.be/W3fLx3m2IDc
After beating the Boss I can wholeheartedly say that this is a very fun little game and certainly worth the ten bucks, I'm currently planing on playing even more to unlock what I've missed and try out the EX mode. This game has a decent amount of replay-ability right off the bat with it being a rogue-lite with different weapons and play styles you can lean into from in level unlocks, but it has even more with the several modifiers to help mix it up further so I wouldn't be surprised if by the time I 100% this game if I have 10~15 hours. There aren't a ton of levels but there is a decent amount that ramps up the difficulty with new enemy types and making them come from multiple directions so it can keep you on your feet and keep you moving almost constantly, though you can snowball in this game and absolutely crush. And on the snowballing, There are some builds that I kept finding myself falling into as a crutch but I'm not sure how that could be fixed or if it really needs to. TLDR: Fun game, Good replay-ability, Worth the $10
easy to learn, very hard to master
already enjoyed the demo many hours. surely will enjoy the full release the same. i like the many many added features compared to the demo.
It's short, but fun. Only difficulty spike was when I didn't know when the game was going to "Fatal Error" me and close. Once that's fixed, and maybe some more content is added, This game would be amazing.
This game is a happy reminder of some of my favourite bits of other games such as risk of rain 2, TF2 and defense grid. A simple but well thought out basic game loop coupled with retro graphics and a matching soundtrack make for an entertaining few hours of gameplay.
