Before they made changes the game was fun, Even with the changes I believe the game can be fun, however they broke many aspects of the game when they made their changes. Unable to water your plants, First Gold idol head missing, When any new changes are done to the game it resets your own saved progress. Such as doing the orb puzzles for your ships energy. I had it half way filled and it is back down to the first orb puzzle. When you have energy in your scanner it may not scan or the light from it will not turn on. I have also had to do a new game about 5 times now due to not being able to progress because the game thinks I am further behind than I am, every time they change anything it cause an issue with a previously saved game. I am quite disappointed. I am going to wait a while before attempting to play again.
love it!!!!
For a game that's just come out in EA it's still a very enjoyable world exploration and puzzle game. The scenery is beautiful and the puzzles are varied and challenging. I can't wait for more updates and additions to the game
Having an issue with the achievement (ritual hydration)I am trying to fill the bowls but it’s different than online says. I have no idea what’s going on.anyone have any helpful info?
A relaxing, cozy game with pleasant graphics and music. Even though it's EA, I see great potential in it.
In Astrobotanica, you are an exiled alien botanist cast onto prehistoric Earth, surviving not by blade but by brilliance as you harvest strange flora, brew alien tonics, and navigate a world where the very air seeks to choke you; its smooth, steady gameplay makes each expedition feel deliberate and controlled, while clever environmental puzzles challenge your mind as much as the wilderness tests your resolve, creating a quiet but worthy trial of roots, intellect, and resilience for any who values discipline over glory.
so, for a semi comprehensive review, here we go! So far, ive genuinely enjoyed this game, i love the graphics, the colors, and all the visuals. The island feels big, and the excess of plants helps it feel unexplored and fresh. Even after 16 hours and an almost full map, i still get lost! I find that organically coming across puzzles as im exploring to be rewarding, and the scattered totems and tablets are always a fun find. A few points id like to make, i believe that first and foremost, a wiki should be made, i love lore, and i know the game is still being developed, but i think a wiki would help with more than just lore, such as a bit of help finding puzzle pieces. I still havent been able to find a 4th altar coin, and theres no resources to help me, simply trucking through and continuing my search. I also noticed that the chess style statue puzzle has a few issues with dropping my frame rates. Im running this game with an amd radeon 9070 xt, so the frame drop doesnt make too much sense. Ive also noticed that the elixer system isnt well utilized, theyre only named, not categorized by what they do, which i think if reworked, would help significantly. I dont think any of these things are nearly enough to make me stop playing, ive been playing this as a destressor after work, and i love it.
i love it
For early access its quite smooth graphic wise, but controls can be a bit clunky. The tutorial is quite short and then leaves you trying to figure out what youre suppose to do with your building ability, is there a point to building huts? will early humans move in them? can you also maybe explain the symbols or icons when you look at your Neanderthal friend, you can g ive him gifts, a green slot and red slot, but i dont know what they do. Maybe some fast travel would be nice, you get too far from home and need to keep building camp fires to breathe, would be nice to be able to get back to areas quicker. Otherwise its a great concept, cant wait to see more.
