About
The plan was simple - the ship would wake you from your cryocapsule before you arrived at a potential new home. A planet for humanity to start a new life on. But when you awaken, you are already on the ground amongst the wreckage of your ship with no one else in sight. Stranded and surrounded only by debris, you start your journey under an unfamiliar sky.
The planet has a breathable atmosphere, which is a good start. Surprisingly, the area is already filled with a lush flora and fauna — some of which seem familiar, others completely alien. A few of the old seedlings from Earth must have survived the crash somehow, building a new kind of ecosystem.
What happened to the ship? How long have you been frozen in cryo since your arrival? You don't have the answers, but...for now, you have more pressing concerns.
You must find a way to survive and make this foreign planet your new home!

Face hunger, thirst, weather, and hostile fauna while the days pass by. Treat your wounds and keep your eyes open, some old machines still roam the landscape. The scorching sun above is unforgiving.

Discover various islands, underwater locations, old wrecks, and more. Find out what happened to your crew, where you are and what went so horribly wrong with your ship.

Harvest the resources of your new surroundings, refine materials and craft new tools. Find your way to the top of the food chain and build yourself a new home!

Adjust the sails and follow the wind! Just like our ancestors sailed over the seas of our old home to discover new land.

Scavenge wrecks and whats left of your old ship. Harness the power of nature and generate electricity to power advanced technology's.

Interact with several different types of workstations in a unique and immersive way to refine resources and take your next step forward. Instead of navigating endless menus, you physically interact in-game with your items.
For example:
• Make cloth on a loom
• Split wood into planks
• Process raw hides into usable leather
• Smelt ore and forge it into tools
• Potter and fire clay into usable objects
...and more!

Challenge the world alone or explore, build, and survive with up to three friends by your side (4 in total).

I had hopes for the game. But I had to stop playing because of the frustration. The character movement is too rudimentary. The jumping and climbing is horrible. If I was stranded on one of these small islands the first thing I would do is explore them. That is impossible in the game. There is no way to build or jump/climb onto the rock formations, so you are stuck at the base of them. Maybe I gave up too soon, but I was just so frustrated I couldn't continue.
Bad Inventory Always out of space Can't use hands. If you die, you need to build a new tool to fight because you cant punch Only host can save game. If you disconnect before they save, you lose everything, even your character. When you die, there are no markers to find your things No map. You get one, but its useless. there are some things that are fun, but after 4 hrs, there are more problems. Survival games have been around for a long time now, and when you are missing the basics of most, it feels like there is a lot missing.
It is a good game so far. But you really need to consider larger storage boxes. Being allowed to craft onto the raft and make it larger with more storage. I compass slot and compass as well as marking you ally on the map. and the ability to see the map without it being in your inventory. inventory space is so small you really need to slot the map takes
I love survival crafting games and this one in particular is clearly a labor of love. The progression is very rewarding. There is not a lot of hand-holding, which I like, but it is not completely devoid of suggestions on how to progress, which is also important. I am absolutely impressed that this is created by a solo dev! Great work and I can't wait to see what comes next! Thank you New Horizon Games, keep it up and don't listen to the nay-sayers.
Well, i will say the map shouldn't take up an in inventory slot, also if i have the items for a spear i should be able to build it. This feels like its trying to be green hell but couldn't execute it well. If your gonna make a space green hell the inventory system should be good to use and have a way for the bigger items to be in their own slots. I would wait till they fix the inventory system first. The game looks nice however but at 22 min i stopped because the inventory system is a big miss. I would wait for more updates.
Most of the time you run around on island search for cases, swim between island, swimming under water to find cases. figuring out how to progress in crafting, (new items > new blueprints > new items > new blueprints). Was nice but boring after 15-20 hours.
Great game -> avatar motion needs work, avatar customization does too. Lots of exploring on the high seas. A mystery unraveling. Survival and building. For some reason, from time to time my co-op friend controls the boat and then goes to stand up and gets flung 3 map squares away in the middle of the ocean, stuck swimming back. We can't find any info on it.
Overall, the game is great and I like the new water effects and stuff. What is making me NOT recommend this game is the fact that after progressing pretty far, I would have to start a completely NEW game in order to disable the snakes. It's bad enough I no longer go in land for the risk of running into one and just allow my husband to clear them first, but I was excited to learn it would be an option to turn them off. BUT THEN finding out I would have to start all over to do so? No thanks. If this were to change then I would change my review. The game could also do without the Mario sounding bird, the frequency at which it goes off is extremely annoying. AND now that I've ATTEMPTED to make a new save, my husband can't join/coop is broken. (We finally got it to work, but I keep crashing and freezing and desyncing if we are too far away from each other and coming close to reunite in game) Awesome. *Any developers who may reply please do not use any flirty emojis, written or emoji style such as winking faces, hearts, etc.*
Good job. I feel like Tom Hanks in castaway.
