About
Asteroid Odyssey is an incremental space survival game where you (and Ben, the space tennis ball) build and defend your ship against endless waves of various celestial bodies.
Build Your Ship
Use ingots to construct new parts around your core. Build weapons like Machine Guns, Gatling Guns, Flamethrowers, and Rocket Launchers to blast incoming threats. Add Armor to protect vulnerable spots, Repair Units to heal damage, and Batteries to boost adjacent weapons. Every part connects to your core in a grid layout, so plan your ship design carefully.
Defend Your Core
Your ship's core is under attack. Asteroids and planets of all sizes are heading your way, and if your core is destroyed, it's game over. Research and expand your ship with defenses, weaponry and other useful parts to survive.

Research and Unlock
Start with basic parts and unlock advanced technology through research. Spend ingots to discover new ship components and upgrade your stats, such as mouse hover damage and attack speed. Parts get more expensive each time you build them, so be thoughtful.

Make your journey more efficient and destructive with boosters
Unlock boosters so that you may get them from the crates during the run in order to increase your fire rates, efficiency of refineries, or destroy everything in your vicinity.

Can you help Ben and build the ultimate ship?

The upgrades in this game scale way too quickly. Gameplay becomes pretty passive. I got bored of my last run after about 30 min, the last 15 didn't really require much input.
default start is a bit challenging but after a minute or two it is completely boring cold start is just badly designed, if at all. crates dropping the second curreny which is not usable. another type of crates exists which rewards nothing. you will almost constantly enter stage 2 and face the first enemy without having a single research or a single module build
in my normal run, I got to stage 9-10 completely decked out and had to wait for the game to finish by reaching stage 16. I was killing asteroids and enemies while they were still offscreen. There was nothing else for me to do but just wait for more than an hour. in my second you start with no ressources, just your core. you need to be lucky to get crates to drop refined ore to build your research. The first crate gave me green ore that I could not use. The second crate gave me only enough to research the refinery, but not enough to build one. Then I died because my basic 1 damage from my cursor was not enough to defend agains all the asteroids. Then I decided I had enough.
Doesn't feel like a complete game. At about stage 8 it seemed like I didn't even need to upgrade anymore. All the enemies died off screen. Laser Beams kill everything as soon as they spawn. 45 minutes for a run and maybe played 15 minutes. Turned the sound off as even at 5% the game was frying my speakers. Cutting in and out. Very loud game. The cold start "difficulty" is 100% RNG.
I wouldn't recommend the game as is, it deffo needs some later game upgrades and balancing options, it'd be cool if more enemy ships came later on or bosses etc, but after a little bit you are so powerful its just leave the game open until completed. Its a good shell of a game just a little hollow at the moment and therefore would advise waiting for a content update before buying. I'll revisit this review if it gets fleshed out.
Fun little game. Needs a bit of optimization in the last few stages when the screen is of full of things.
This one looks fun on the surface, but nearly immediately runs out of content. My 1 hour played was a single run where I literally didn't have anything I could do for the second half hour of it. Ship was fully decked out, upgrades were maxed, game played itself for 30 minutes before it finally decided I "won."
No skill progression on death like most other games. Not worth.
