This has been the first-ever AC game that I have played, so I have a special place in my heart for this game. At first, I will talk about what the original does and then I'll go for remastered version. So, at first, they changed how game controls work. Gone are the control scheme which controls each body part. So now you instantly sprint by pressing right trigger. However, the sprint intensity changes by trigger pressure now. Cool stuff honestly. Combat also changes from health-based to animation-based. So now you have to time your counters to instakill an enemy, except for Grenadiers and Jaegers. Jaegers will not be your concern anyway for a good chunk of game, so it's grenadier. While the combat is simplified, more weapon types have been added to 'diversify' the gameplay. The game starts as a direct sequel to AC Revelations and Desmond getting the plastic surgery for the second time. Maybe he applied for a refund for his plastic surgery procedure that happened to him in AC Revelations. Anyways, they return to the Temple and now enter into the Animus. However, what makes this an interesting game for me is that they took an interesting narrative risk. We'll talk about it gradually. So the game starts as Haytham (not the dude on the cover). We enter into the opera in London and then kill the Opera Target. Afterwards, we shall off to American colonies. Now we get familarised to the combat I talked about before. After that, they also reveal a new thing which I actually liked. Now the full synchronisation requirement had multiple objectives instead of just one. Many dislike AC3 for that, but I actually prefer it because many full synch tasks can show us more about the characterisation. For example, in ACB when we get the Apple for the second time finally, we have a full sync objective of not losing health by any means, meaning that Ezio canonically never used the Apple at that stage. So it was a welcome change. After that, we meet Charles Lee and then help him around, recruit other fellas until we meet Ziio. She takes us to the Precursor Site and then we do silly stuff. After that, we kill Braddock but after Ziio finds out that Haytham didn't actually killed him, she asks him to leave. Then, it is eventually revealed that Haytham is actually a templar. *gasps* WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. This was the narrative risk I was talking about. For the three sequences, we were actually playing as a templar this whole time. The signs were always there, but we ignored them because they appeared diplomatic, Haytham had hidden blades and whatnot. Now we actually control as the dude on cover, Connor. Now we play Hide and seek with fellow tribeskids, we hide and we are found by Colonial Templars. They act racist and also knock us down. We see the whole village is actually burning and this tragically results in death of Ziio. Now after a few years, game introduces us to two more new thimngs to the game. Using trees to navigate through and hunting mechanisms. The game added a lot of nuances to that, like having a clean kill is how you get the most out of the animals. Then we get a vision which is cast upon us by the village elders. We learn of the assassin symbol, and we are told to go to the Homestead. We meet Achilles, who does not agree at first until we defend his homestead from thieves. So, he agrees to train us. Then he gives us the robes which were meant for his son who died due to typhoid fever. To intermingle with the western societies, Achilles gives him a name, 'Connor'. Now there's my gripe. The game has 12 sequences. Three out of them are dedicated to Haytham, two of them are dedicated to the younger Connor, the sixth one is dedicated to Connor's training and stuff, so it's mostly in Homestead, and the 12th one starts automatically. So you have five sequences where you actually play as Connor with a full arsenal. FIVE. This pisses me off so much. I love playing as Connor. As a matter of fact, I love his character as it proliferates more in Homestead missions, which makes sense because he's forced to mask himself due to all the stuff that's happened to him since childhood. So now the game begins, and we gradually take down every target – Johnson, Hickey, and Pitcairn. However, I think the game very quickly glosses over the events, if that makes sense? Like the Battle of Bunker Hill is considered one of the pivotal moments in the American Revolution, and yet it only has one mission. The one where we kill Pitcairn. That's it. My main gripe with this game utilising historical events is that the game assumes you're either American or someone who's well-versed in American history. Otherwise you wouldn't have a single clue about what is going on in terms of historical events. "Oh, but Animus Database" – they're supposed to be bonuses, not the basic wikipedia type thing. Anyways, after that, we end up meeting Haytham. Funnily enough, this game does the thing that AC Rogue was trying so hard to do. This game brings light to the philosophical aspect of the Creed and Templars way more coherently than Rogue ever did even though we control a Templar for the majority of the game. Haytham tries to act like they're bringing some order even though we know that they care about subversion of human will, and Haytham seeks to convince Connor to join his order, and he does by getting the order of Washington to kill Iroquois people. Haytham also exposes how it was actually Washington who had ordered to set his village ablaze when he was just young. While we know that Connor wouldn't have believed if Haytham had told about his shenanigans without proof, Connor also sees through the stunts that Haytham was pulling. So we stop patriots from attacking the village. We move to the village and find out that Charles Lee played the villagers like a fiddle. So we take care of the villagers and encounter his best friend, who tells how Charles Lee said that we'd betray the villagers. We end up killing him, and Connor sadly realises that they'll have to fend for themselves and can't rely on others because they'd be taken advantage of. Now we finalise plan to kill Charles Lee but we end up encountering Haytham now. I'm shocked how Connor actually survived this given how much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb idea Connor actually had. Who tf thinks "Oh, Blow the fort with the cannon and then I'll kill Lee". Connor ends up getting hit by it, so we have to fight Haytham with a concussion. We disable Haytham's one arm to equalise the fight but still. We kill him by smashing him into objects. The end triggers and he also becomes a zealot and starts spewing his zealotry. However, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love his memory corridor sequence omg. It's such a good sequence – here it goes . It's one of my favourite memory corridors cutscenes in AC games. Then we get to Lee who's about to escape and then we kill that little ♥♥♥♥♥. I also love how Lee has no memory corridor sequence because neither us nor Connor cares about his weasel ass. After that, we see the final cutscene and remember when I stated that Achilles gave us a name 'Connor'? We learn now why he gave us that name, and it is far more meaningful and symbolic than "Oh, Ratonhnhake:ton, you're like a son to me. Henceforth, I shall name thee Connor". So, then we do whatever Juno says, we also learn what happens if we let cataclysm happen. Ofc, we don't do that and Desmond dies an *instant* death. Then we log back into animus as post-game, and we do an epilogue, and we learn that our village was eventually forced out as the land was sold. We failed at the sole task for which we chose to be an assassin in first place. It's a great game nonetheless imo. Still one of my favourite. Online smegma culture has just ruined the notion of what a stoic character is supposed to be and it being a reason why people do not like Connor as a character.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.14/day in the week to Aug 11 → 8.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

lets be real its a ubisoft game. it wil look amazing, but be prepared for some glitches. sometimes verry funny ones, sometimes gamebreaking ones. but overall i had a verry good time playing this game. the old one had better lighting tough.... but none the less there are some good changes that make this version worth playing. i had lots of fun. id reccomend it to anny asassins creed fan. its 1000x better than the last 4 games we got, no woke gay things. just real men stuff.
the most boring and bug infested AC game i ever played + you have to play another game (AC Liberations) to 100% the achievement trophy for the main game.
MY DETAILS: Hopefully, this intro will give you an idea of where some of my likes, dislikes, and perceptions regarding my review come from. I was born in 1987 and I grew up playing games from early childhood. I have primarily spent most of my time as a console gamer (outside of MMOs) but have recently begun playing more games on PC. I tend to enjoy and play just about all genres, but survival horror is what I get most excited about. I am a completionist, but trophy/achievement hunting is not something that affects my enjoyment and I do not feel compelled to “100%” a game if the grind is too long or flat out not enjoyable for me. Without further ado, onto my review. I got the AC3 remaster as part of a cheap AC bundle so it wasn’t what I was trying to play (got the bundle for Origins mostly). I wouldn’t call myself a diehard AC fan but I enjoy the games. I played the original and the Ezio trilogy way back when they came out and played a few hours of 3 as well. I kind of fell off after that and completed Black Flag at and I played Origins recently. I figured I’d give 3 a run since they added achievements and I was curious to see the rest of it and have always found the American Revolution an interesting setting. While I overall recommend the game and it has some strengths, there are quite a few downsides as well (most of which have been covered already). First, I’ll list some of the things I think the game does well. There’s no way around the fact that the graphics are dated by today’s standards, but they do look rather good considering how old the game is. The sound design is rather well done and the voice acting was honestly better than I expected. Surprisingly, I found Connor to be one of the weaker voices, but Haytham and Faulkner in particular are phenomenal even by today’s standards. The combat is honestly quite fun (if a bit easy once you get used to it) and feels very visceral. Connor feels like a brutal assassin and the animations are varied and well-done. Simply put, I never really got tired of being in a fight which says a lot considering how much of it I did. I found the story to be alright. It’s nothing that will light the world on fire, but it was enjoyable enough and it was neat to see key figures of the Revolution in person, even if in just a videogame. There’s not much to say about the present-day Desmond story. It’s there. I vaguely remember it getting a lot of flak for the ending when it came out, but for myself, I honestly wasn’t invested much and don’t really feel like I know exactly what happened either, lol. Now, for the downsides. Most of these are rehashes from other reviews and date back to the original game, but I’ll throw my opinion out there as well. The prologue does drag for far too long. While the Haytham sequences and initial story twist are fine imo (especially if you don’t know anything about the game already), the following tutorial chapters with Connor before you get free roam around the world overstay their welcome for way too long. The game is quite buggy and glitchy as well. I decided to get all the achievements and I used a very detailed guide, so a fair warning if you do, you will run into a lot of frustration going for 100% in this game. It’s a long grind, and many of the optional objectives you must do for missions are quite ridiculous either by virtue of being very buggy or rather unrealistic/difficult. Be prepared to reload checkpoints many times. Surprisingly for an AC game, the collectibles aren’t too bad, and a lot of the side content is quite good imo. Shout out to the much-praised naval missions as well! Despite a few frustrating optional objectives, the naval missions are a highlight. I did play the Tyranny of King Washington DLC as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a very unique experience and I recommend it if you finish the entire game. The game also comes with AC Liberation, which was a spin-off title from AC3 and came out on the PS Vita I think. It takes place in New Orleans in the 1760s/70s and follows the series’ first female assassin, Aveline. I played it not really thinking it was an entire game of its own and knowing nothing about it and, in short, I can’t recommend it except to diehard AC fans or achievement hunters who will be annoyed by the achievements being on the same list as AC3. While I really liked Aveline as a character and the combat was fun, it overall felt rather aimless. The graphics are a lot better than AC3 and the optional objectives aren’t as bad but the story felt very disjointed and pointless to me. I was not invested at all. The collectibles are also really annoying to get due to the way the map works and there is no fast travel which also slows things down a lot. Liberations’ version of the Frontier in AC3, the Bayou, is a unique setting, but it’s a real slog to travel in and gets old very fast.
Probably one of the worst remasters in the franchise. Good nostalgia from when i was on the PS3
ac 3 is great ac liberation is kinda wack
Worst game of the series I've played so far. Stealth is virtually nonexistent but it's needed for every single mission. The protagonist's story is good, but that's all that can be said for the game. Gameplay is trash.
