Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

IGN rates 8/8 best pirate game ever made.. and it just got a remake! Skull & Bones sitting in their special chair in the corner crying themselves to sleep rn. Will Ubisoft see the overwhelming positivity for this remake and notice that a game from 14 years ago is outselling everything they've made in the last decade and correct course?! While an overall good remake of the original, the parts of the original is the only reason you would ever buy this. 90% or so of content, voicelines, motioncapture is taken right from original, which is good, because save for but a few, every line of text and every animation added or changed from the original, is godawful. The new missions and new voicelines, and the voicelines and characters they changed from the original, is actually cringeworthy, I have no idea who wrote this, but it is if as if every character in resynced has multiple personality disorder, completely changeing between lines in vibe and character. Also all the characters look like ♥♥♥♥ when in cutscene? The only redeeming feature in my opinion, is that the real world Animus stuff is gone, which I always loated doing as it took me out of the pirate action. The new combat is fine, parrying and countering. Ship combat is basically the same, except for a new menu, which also goes for the rest of the game. Also you can dive everywhere, it's whatever. My verdict: Only buy this if you hated Animus or the combat system

Great remake!

I was weary at first, when I went to buy it the first time I went down to the reviews it was just a page of thumbs down. I am thrilled to say this game is brilliant, just like the original, I haven't gotten all the way through it cause I take my time but I have been having a blast. Are there some bugs? of course its Ubisoft lol are they game breaking? no. There were a lot of talk about in game ads for the shop or the fact that you get taken to the shop of you press the start button twice. There are in fact, no in game ads, and you get over the whole not pressing the start button twice Really quickly. Like any game that has a different layout you just learn...not..to click it twice? definately not a reason to downvote the whole game. If you loved the first Black Flag, you will love this one. The game is absolutely beautiful, the hardest part in returning to the OG was the sluggish controls but with resynced they are much more responsive.
