A truly excellent metroidvania with perfectly paced progression, where you're always finding useful new tools and items that will option new routes for you, and a ton of secrets to hunt for. The soundtrack is fantastic and memorable, and both the exploration and combat are satisfying. The controls are really tight, and you're rewarded for using all the tools at your disposal. You can't review this game without mentioning the visual style, which they've absolutely nailed. The cutscenes are all beautifully animated and the voice acting has the perfect amount of ham to match the games it's a love letter to. It's very clear that everyone fully understood the assignment, and they aced it in every respect. The story is short, but I genuinely enjoyed it quite a bit, too. Arzette is a really fun character, and I think the ending is great, a really satisfying subversion of what you might expect from a game like this. There's also a lot of replayability, including a mode that purposefully makes the controls and QoL features worse to better emulate the Zelda CDI games. That kind of feature definitely isn't for me, but I love that it's there.
Divertidinho, baita jogo pra brisar. As interações com os NPCs são muito boas e a progressão é satisfatória. Pega na promo e só vai
Love this goofy game. It definitely carries the CD-I Zelda style quite well too. With really good gameplay to boot. Silly humor, nice art and fun gameplay!
Aside from the incredibly charming cutscenes, the gameplay does have it's fair share of substance as well. It feels like if the Zelda: CDI games were actually polished!
Fun while it lasted Tbh, it can be frustrating to play at times. kinda rigid 'til the later parts of the game (as most metroidvanias are without movement options unlocked) but the game's really easy to get hooked by. The problem i have with it is that past the obvious inspiration taken by the team... the game does nothing more than its original idea. Still fun and alrighty at a lot of levels but y'know... i was maybe wrong to expect more than what was served. Maybe a little bit too short
but the end of the game hinting a sequel someday
Play it if you find it at a fair price ! It's a great and singular game that can entertain you for a few hours !
Arzette is a very fun Philip CDI inspired Metroidvania. Can't wait for the sequel!
