One of the best AVNs I've ever seen. Definitely in the top 5.
One of the best AVN I have played. Compelling story/characters. Interesting choices and relations. Highly recommended. Can't wait for Part II.
Wow! CH 7 20/10. absolutely crushed it. already itching for ch8 now. cant wait!
loved the story and the loved the ref to the main character being the same model from a other game did make me laugh looking forward to future updates
When i started i wasn't sure about this game, but the more i got into the story. I was really starting to enjoy the way the story felt. I'm not done with the game yet but so far its way better then i was thinking it was going to be. This game will definitely be in my top 10 and i look forward to play the future books as they come out.
between this and leap of faith im gonna say they are tied for my favorite game ever
It is not just good, it is very good! The description and renders on itch should be improved, they are not representable of how good the VN is even remotely. Trailer on Steam is much better. This game deserves to be known by more people. Interesting story, with topics that only got more relevant in recent times. The writing is high-quality and is easy to follow. Not on only that, I have learned a few things in the process. There were just a few typos in the most recent (at the time of writing this) chapter 7 alongside with some render ordering issues, but nothing serious or too distracting. Overall very pleasant good vibes story. The diverse set of characters and LIs is pleasant to look at. The render quality was good at start, but facial expressions were definitely not and it was quite distracting. Starting from chapter 5 facial expressions became much better and I believe still renders improved too, especially in chapter 7. There are occasional odd things, most unnaturally large heads of Cassie and Kindra when they are sitting and looking up, but not too bad. The animations were "fine" up until chapter 7. In chapter 7 renders are very bad. They use different color pallet, possibly different models of characters and look seriously bad, especially compared to how good still renders have gotten. The contrast is too much. Please just get rid of them in the upcoming update and replace with a couple of still renders instead. Soundtrack and sound effects are really nicely chosen as well, I really like it! It is declared that there is no controller support, but I was able to use Xbox controller just fine. Well, mostly. The controls are a bit unusual and different from other VNs, probably because of the old Ren'Py version used. There are also strange bugs with saves when save name is not restored on load and needs two sequential saves to actually persist, which I suspect is also a bug long fixed in Ren'Py. Updating Ren'Py version would be appreciated. The last technical issue is that this VN requires a surprisingly large amount of RAM. Every VN so far was fine in a virtual machine with 8GB of RAM, but I had to increase it to 12G or else the game crashed frequently due to running out of RAM (I have no swap). The 4G requirement is clearly misleading, the game itself uses a lot more than that starting at roughly chapter 4 IIRC. I found it quite annoying that rollback was not always possible after decisions. Though auto-saves are usually present, which makes me wondering why prevent rollback at all... I didn't like that mini-games were required for some content, but they were not too bad and were somewhat cheatable with rollback (though some appeared unexpectedly). I'm not sure what their value is though, I found them mostly just annoying. The number of choices is quite wide and this is clearly not a harem style VN, at least not fully. And I'll be honest, it'd be really frustrating to explore all variants without the walkthrough, some cases are really tricky for no good reason (IMHO). The walkthrough by MrBubu is really good though, especially the complete list of various variables used. Overall this one has my strongest recommendation if you like interesting sci-fi stories. Don't play this for lewd content alone, there isn't that much of it, the scenes are short and fairly basic. It is tasteful and does help with entertainment though. The price is more than fair for probably ~50 hours of content you're getting with current 7 chapters. Looking forward to where this story leads!
Omg great AVN who ever wrote this has a good grasp on the whole AI thing just wow ,the questions that were asked and the characters were very fleshed out.
I really enjoyed Artemis. This is definitely one of the better ones out. The music is good, the graphics are on point as well as the animation. The storyline is in depth bringing highs with funny parts and lows. It is well written and well rounded. My next playthrough will be for achievements and just for the enjoyment of the AVN. After playing book two, I have to consider Artemis one of my top five AVN's. I think the writing is even better than book one, touching on humor, sadness, joy and such. The graphics and animation are still really good and the music is on point as well.
This is an AVN that would be just as good if not better without the "A". Seriously the story is just unique and, given the issues in today's world with AI, relevant. It is a MUST PLAY.
