Armored Brigade

Really loving Armor Brigade l. The more I dive into the game the more I want to play. The AI, I feel, is good. Even playing the same Battle Mod, the AI will present new challenges.

Коли хотів пограти у стратегію, а отримав курс тактики НАТО. Ну або якщо хотів отримати курс тактики НАТО - то попав куди треба. 🔹 Геймплей: керуєш танками, піхотою і артилерією, намагаючись не перетворити свою армію на металобрухт. (неможливо) 🔹 Сюжет: Холодна війна, всі напружені, а ти — ще більше, бо неправильно розставив міномети. (і не тільки міномети) 🔹 Графіка: скромна, зате після першого бою дивишся на карту як на святе писання. 🔹 Реалізм: піхота не безсмертна, танки не всемогутні, а твій план розвалиться за 5 секунд після початку бою. Або після 10 секунд, там як бог дасть. Якщо ти мріяв про кар’єру полковника, спробуй для початку витримати цей бій.

If you only try a single wargame in your life, this should be it. It manages to successfully balance complexity and ease of use. I never thought I would say this about a wargame, but the UI/UX are very good (!!!) It's very punishing if you're not careful so it requires very good planning. Your APC with troops can easily get one shot sniped by a tank 3km away that you didn't see. The way you can generate new campaigns with different fights on a huge map is very good for replayability.

Still worth it with AB2 coming out

It's basically 2D Warno that runs on less robust machines, what's not to love

Among the best tactical wargames I've played. The sequel is now available on Steam, featuring full 3D visuals!

Sick game. Basically the modern setting Combat Mission games but 2D and with a built-in campaign generator. Got a lot of complexity, but it's all very easy to learn and control. Also has mods to cover WW2, some more modern nations and at least one wacky alternate history one with a bunch of prototype "what-if?" weaponry seeing service.
