This is my goto game if i have a spare half an hour, i just like setting up planets and trying to beat the other races to them. Every time you load up the planets have different qualities.
I played the glorious precursor Armada 2525 back in MS-DOS times. I got this game before Steam was a thing (which explains the short steam playtime) and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I never really picked up on the unique win conditions for the different empires (for me it was always conquest). So there's a little bit more to the game than just steamrolling everyone. Graphics were decent for it's time and the different empires and win conditions allow for diverse play styles. Would I recommend this over modern 4x games like Stellaris? Probably not, even though 2526 has some mechanics still unique to it, but it certainly beats out other modern contenders. Oh, and one thing that 2526 did great is the strategic map where you can see where every detected fleet is moving to at a glance, thanks to the addition of exhaust trails that clearly indicate a fleet's heading. You won't find that in Stellaris!
Super spel!

This is like the Civilization games. Turned base when you need to be doing other things too. It describes different systems, what can occur, different suns, and more. Easy game to play. It might even get someone interested in finding out more about other solar systems.
This is a good game for people who have never played a 4 x turn based game. At the moment my main PC has blown up. I am playing the game on a 6 year old laptop. This games doesn't have high specs. The learning curve is not to hard. Research is good. Combat good. All over a good game and lots of fun.
