About
Arma: Cold War Assault now runs on a modernized version of its original Poseidon engine: native 64-bit, Windows and Linux, support for ultrawide and high-refresh displays, full game-controller support, and a modern audio and networking stack, while it still plays exactly like the genre-defining original.
The engine is now open source

Her şeyi dönemine göre değerlendirmek gerekiyor.

If you are not interested in video game history, don't play it: play Arma 3 instead (or a newer Arma). This was a childhood game of mine. I spent many hours scripting my own missions. Hostage extraction and hostage-taking, VIP escort and assassination, offense and defense, border patrol... What I could script was limited only by my proficiency with the editor and the scripting language. You can do the same (and even more easily!) in an Arma editor, so this game is more of a relic. The animations show their age. It has some annoying bugs: for example, sometimes your AI squad leader orders you to disembark, only to immediately order you to get in the vehicle you just disembarked from.
Good for the time, doesnt stand up to date. Almost punched trough my monitor trying to control a squad and 2 vehicles. The ai and controls simply do not do what you tell them to do, let alone what you want them to do. Tedious and annoying. Some of the missions are great, where you arent relying on the ai to do what you want.
Thank you!!! The best game of my childhood!
Most fun game of all time
