NICE GAME
A great game that is a lot of fun and also damn challenging! Been looking for a game like this now. A sci-fi 2D platformer where you dash around, shooting robots and mutants. Love the silly idea of a robo-teddy bear following you everywhere, giving you tips, while you help him find his owner aka. friend. The pixelart? My ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god, lovely. This game is beautiful. And the animations as well are all very well done. Gameplay may take a bit to get the hang of, but once you got it its super fun! The music also! Love it! The only real negative i can think of right now, is that for the price, its pretty short. After the tutorial, there are just 4 missions you can play and thats it. Without too much replayability either, unless you wanna collect all disks (which im surely gonna do :3) Sure, it says episode 1 and hell, i am hyped af for episode 2, but just for the current price there just really isnt THAT much content. But that will surely change in the future. Overall, this game is great and i am excited to see where it is going! I would say... 7/10
Great visuals Tight controls Good music, if a limited On the harder side Plays well on PC/mouse/keyboard, but clearly designed for a gamepad Encourages repeat exploration of levels
Ожидал большего. Удивительно, но игра вышла из раннего доступа. Поглядим чего они там намудрили, авось захочется поиграть, а не так как в 2024 получилось
rewriting this review because i played the second level and dear lord idk how a game gets this good. the boss design is not only incredible in terms of art design, but mechanically too. The weapons in the game all have a great feel to them, and none of them actually feel super under or overpowered. Super hard, but eventually you learn to instinctively dodge the bullets effectively and its an awesome feeling. Incredible game and I haven't even finished it yet, cannot wait for the release of the next episode.
Simple enough to master, difficult enough to satisfy. Moody and perfectly fitting synthwave soundtrack, fantastic pixel art aesthetics, good UI, intuitive controls. The writing isn't exactly Pride & Prejudice, but it's endearing enough for me to enjoy, and fitting for what this game is trying to be. It was absolutely worth the price I paid and the time I put in. I encountered a few minor bugs, but they were isolated and mild. There was nothing game breaking or progress blocking. Tried using a controller first, but I found myself struggling. I felt handicapped. I had a much easier time when I switched to keyboard and mouse, and everything just clicked.
Looks good Plays bad
its got a good art style. I didnt get to play it all because of health issues. the controls or animation movements, is sort of like off. Not sure how to explain. either gravity of ur robot, falls to fast, and the bullets fly too fast, and the areas are too small for the current balance of all that combined, will cause major frustration for a lot of people. But im giving it a thumbs up because, the art style is so different and "cozy" that you dont often find on any steam side scroll game. Its got good detail and environmental imagination , artistic atmosphere. Sound effects and all that sort of all work together. its good if you can get past the movement and difficulty balance issues. The controls are almost perfect except some issues with holding button to interact with stuff, and some little stuff here or there.
Good game :)
